Hotel LIVVO Dunagolf Suites

We stayed in the Live Dunagolf hotel for about 10 days, and enjoyed staying there. The hotel is nice and staff is very friendly. The bungalows are comfortable and clean. We stayed here the first week of February, and due to the nice weather we were able to spent quite some time at the poolside. During are stay (in Feb.) it was quiet and the other guests were also mainly older people, and there were no noisy kids around.

Don’t be put off by previous reviews! A lovely complex of bungalows, friendly staff, clean & well furnished. We stayed for 10 days and had a suite with roof terrace over looking golf course ..,, the rooms are perfectly well equipped for a nice modern but no frills apar**ent. Not equipped to cater a full on dinner party but had a kettle, microwave, electric ring - cutlery, glasses, Plates for 3 , couple of pans. . Toiletries provided in the bathroom. Maid service more than adequate & most days . Towels changed as & when needed. Pools & the area around was well kept, clean & always sun beds available what ever time of day you went ( no towel hogging) Pool bar food / snacks good & can be take out to room. Main areas & grounds recently refurbished. Staff all were friendly & helpful. The let down of the complex is the restaurant area is rather dated looking & didn’t really entice you in to dine there ( we were room only ) so can’t comment on Buffet. No supermarket / mini market on site … Shame but a small one about 10 mins walk away for bread, milk, juice , fresh meats & cheese etc. It is remote from maspolomas - we would not have attempted to walk in in evenings as unlit roads and I would say 45 minutes not very pleasant walk - but it’s 7/8 euros in taxi each way - reception will call one and they arrive within a couple of mins . We enjoyed the stay - would recommend as long as aware of location. For a Quiet, friendly . Relaxing week ticked most of the boxes! .

The facility is nice, someone obviously spent a lot renovating. However, the staff need’s training or replacement. Our room had a broken shower, toilet, and drawer. The room keys were replaced THREE times. The reservation staff were borderline rude and of absolutely no assistance in booking tours or recommending anything. The hotel offers ZERO amenities as far as shampoo, water, or even instant coffee.

On first impressions, the hotel looked great ... However, sadly this hotel is not a truly four-star hotel, a decent three-star at a push, simply because it lacks attention to detail, in areas such as food, drinks and service let the resort down from being 4 stars. The hotel is very nice, although if you go with the expectation of a high-end 4-star report, you'll sadly be disappointed. Although it's an excellent 3-star. Food was hit and miss, and was very basic, with the same food being served daily, especially at breakfast. Coffee came from the self-service machine. A large portion of the food was processed, and very little was a fresh product for breakfast. on the plus real bacon, and eggs could be catered for your own preference The food presentation wasn't the best, and it felt very much like a school canteen. - although the food served at the pool bar was good, and the food at the restaurant seemed much better, the half board option, felt more like a school canteen. 15 euros per person for all-you-can-eat style, or you also have the option of choosing from the menu at the restaurant.. the bar food, and food from the restaurant were good quality, just lacked presentation, and the service wasn't 4-star standard. The service was poor, and drinks and cocktails were all basic and lacked attention to detail, and presentation, was not 4-star quality, but okay for 3 stars. The grounds are nice, and the gardens are well kept, but sadly the lawns are plastic (90%) which made it appear tacky and cheap, and a quick fix to hiding defects The room: the kitchen is poor for self-catering, pointless really. one small bin which again is pointless, and lacks space for preparing food. The room came with Kettle, one hot plate, a microwave, 2 plates. 2 cups, 2 forks, 2 knives, 2 spoons, and a coffee machine although, in this day and age, you would expect a coffee pod machine, including a range of coffee pods for a 4-star hotel. There is no onsite mini market and the nearest is a 15-minute walk away, there is one outside the hotel, but hardly sells anything other than snacks and drinks. The website states free water daily, but this was never replaced after arrival, again something that would be standard at any other 4-star hotel. The hotel is aimed more at German guests, and all channels were German, French or Spanish... no English channels, not even BBC news ... The TV isn't a smart Television and there was no option to log into Netflix and other streaming The shower gets water all over the floor, which works its way into the kitchen area. There is no shower mat and the floor becomes a health and safety issue. However the water pressure is very good, and there was always hot water. The shower gel was cheap, you would expect more from a 4-star hotel. Cleaning occurred every 2 days, and this itself was very basic. The cleaners just tend to give the floor a quick mop, once dry the dirt or sand is still there. There were marks on the walls

Fantastic relaxing week in Maspalomas and in particular Dunagolf. Lovely, clean and relaxing spot. Initially we thoughtit was a little remote from the town, but only €5 in a taxi. All recently modernised, the apar**ents and grounds and public areas are of a high standard. Best of all here are the staff who honestly couldnt be more friendly and helpful, in particular the lovely Pep, who was great, and nothing too much trouble. Tbe breakfasts were great. Lots to choose from the buffet, and if you want a fresh omlette made, not a problem. The restaurant was ok if you fancieda quiet night at the resort, and again the food decent. All in all a great week and well done to the staff at Dunagolf. We stayed in apt 56 with a roof solarium, but spent most time at the pool. We would definitely be back and highly recommend Dunagolf

This hotel offers a fair value for money option in Maspalomas. Our room was spacious and clean, common spaces were very pleasant and the pool was great. When reserving it's worth bearing in mind that the hotel is quite far from anything else - if you don't have a car then taxis (which are widely available and cheap) will be needed to get to almost anything, including to get to the beach. There is a shuttle bus but it is infrequent. The range of facilities is good but some have suffered from under inves**ent. The gym machines are quite old, the kitchenette was really just a sink and a microwave (no hotplate). Breakfast was not bad but other meals were quite underwhelming. Overall a good deal for the price, particularly for the nice room, but expectations should be managed for some other aspects.

Everything with the hotel was good.

I would love to tell you that i had the best holiday ever, however with a week to my arrival on the 05.10.22 i contacted the hotel with a question regarding my stay. They replied to me that the apar**ent that i booked in November 2021 was now no longer available, i was informed that they had received a large group booking and had cancelled my stay. The lady that i contacted told me that this was normal SOPs, i wonder if i hadn't e-mailed them would i have turned up at reception with no apar**ent available for me. Please consider my story when looking at this hotel.

A pleasant quiet resort. Excellent breakfast and service. Cleaning service in bungalow and 2 patio areas, an outside with beds, loungers and chairs and views of mountains in distance. Location not convenient. Either a walk along a long pavement and then over wasteland to main road or taxi to get anywhere.
