Caybeach Princess

We booked a superior bungalow what we got was a Butlins type chalet ripped and moth Eaton curtains, we were visited by several cockroaches and smaller but similar type bugs , we had breakfast and evening meal ( we did try to eat it but gave up after 3 days and we then had to go outside to eat ) . Our “ bungalow “ was immediately behind the bar and the entertainment area and to the side was the arcade both areas were extremely noisy day and especially at night when the “singers” were entertaining and also right under our bathroom window the barrel store so every time the barrels were changed it sounded like a brass band was coming through the wall. Don’t be fooled when the waiter comes to your table and asks you what you want to drink it’s extra not even a complimentary drink with your meal we were chased down the corridor for 2 Fanta drinks . Safe to say we will not be back .

The only problem was nothing was going on no entertainment through week and the bar shutters went down even if you were queuing at 10 pm and the lights shut off so you were sat in the dark ,even on the night we saw the only entertainment she stoped screaming her music at 9.50 shutters came down at 10pm you are so far out you have to get a taxi nothing in walking distance!! Accommodation was really good and clean but nobody could take any inflatables into the pool very short on staff never saw a rep though he was there some times?? Met some lovely people staying there which made up for the evenings

We were looking for a simple holiday just sun, a pool and total relaxation and that is just what we got at Caybeach. Things we loved: lots of sunbeds available great staff - always really helpful and friendly great pools - main one a but chilly but smaller one lovely and plenty big enough happy hour twice a day bus to the beach - only a short ride and easy to get great rooms - clean and plenty of space Only slight disappointment was the kids club wasn't great so we just didn't use it. If you are looking for a quiet location without the hustle bustle then this is great place to go. We had a lovely holiday and would definitely go back.

So the hotel its self is clean and tidy, very quiet, no fighting for a sun-bed, the food is ok but not much choice! 3 swimming pools but all were to cold to go in and I don’t just mean abit cold until your in it was freezing like minus temperatures! No inflatables allowed, no balls around by the pool! I wouldn’t say it’s a family friendly hotel! The rooms are very small and compact and also interconnected with another room full of strangers, you can hear absolutely everything! There is a small shop attached to the hotel but nothing else for a good 30min walk! No entertainment day or night! No music, no reps!

I do not understand the negative reviews. We went half board and it was probably the best food we have ever had abroad. Breakfast and dinner was amazing every day, different freshly cooked meat and fish option every night. Staff all amazing and very friendly. Pool lovely, kids pool is heated and a lovely temp for my 18 month old son. A few negatives such as lack of nightly entertainment (only on twice a week) / kids evening entertainment (non existent). It being a bit isolated as 2 mile walk to pretty much anywhere but we did not mind as was a nice flat walk and some nice bars down the front near the lighthouse. That value for money on this hotel completely out ways the negatives. They have done some lovely renovations of some of the apartments, if they continue with this throughout I feel this would easily be a 4 star hotel. It probably isn't for everyone with the lack of entertainment but if you are looking for a quiet week in the sun with lovely food and really reasonably priced bar then this is the place for you. Only thing that would prevent us returning is as my son is 18 months old then next time we would go he would probably be bored but it is a lovely place for a couple or someone after a gateway with a young baby.

We had 14 nights from 1st to 15th March, staying in a one bedroomed bungalow, No. 213A. The hotel grounds and the bungalow was spotless and the bed was very comfy. The only ****** we had was that there was an internal dividing door between us and the bungalow behind us, not sure why but we heard everything that was said by our neighbours behind us, a couple of nights it was noisy. On arrival we were provided with a cleaning kit (washing up liquid, dishcloth and scourer) which was an extremely nice touch which we didn’t expect, although there was no hot water supply to the kitchen sink, we had to boil the kettle every time we washed up. Having spoken to other guests around us it was the same for them as well as having an internal dividing door. First impressions we were slightly disappointed with the location of the hotel and distance from the centre of Maspalomas but once we had got our bearings it didn’t bother us. There is a big supermarket about 20 minute walk away so we visited this quite frequently stocking up on essentials, far cheaper than the mini supermarket attached to the hotel and more choice. There is a free shuttle bus to and from the beach each day so we used this a few times and ate out a few times before returning back to the hotel. We also ate in a few nights, There is a bus stop on the main road opposite the hotel, we went to Puerto Morgan twice, €3.20 per person each way, the journey takes just under an hour, lovely scenery on the way. It’s market day on a Friday but we didn’t bother going on a Friday as we had been to the market the previous year. The pool area is lovely, it was very peaceful whilst we were there so we stayed around the pool quite a few days, very relaxing. We are planning to return to Caybeach Princess same time next year but will probably upgrade to a bungalow without a dividing door in it. Thanks to all the wonderful staff we met, we had a fantastic holiday, love Maspalomas, so will definitely return.

Booked this as a last minute break, so glad we did ,it was just perfect. From the moment of arrival we met staff who were friendly, polite, helpful and courteous. There is both steps and a ramp to a beautiful pool and bar area. Spotlessly clean, plenty of sunbeds, peaceful, and a bar that had happy hour between 12 -1pm and 6-7.Another smaller pool which is heated is aimed at children, but there is a jacuzzi type pool and further sunbed area here. We had a bungalow at the rear of the complex near to the main road and it was carnival weekend!!.There was noise on 1 night ,but all quiet just past midnight. The bungalow had a large lounge with 2 big sofas, a couple of steps lead to a dining area with table and four chairs, then a door to a kitchen with hob ,microwave, fridge freezer, kettle and a welcome pack of washing up liquid and cleaning cloths. A door at the rear of the bungalow had a tiny courtyard with an airer to dry clothes. The bedroom was spacious with 2 decent single beds pushed together, plenty of wardrobe space and a safe. The remotes for T.V and air con are held at reception and require a small deposit to ensure their return. Our bungalow had its own private seating area outside with another table and 4 chairs. A free shuttle bus runs twice daily to take you into Maspalomas and the beach, but we walked the 25 minute journey to the resort which has a newly built promenade, shopping area/restaurants and bars. For 7 euro you can have a buffet breakfast at the hotel and 14 euro each a buffet evening meal. Food was excellent. There are also snacks served at the pool bar, we did not try them, but heard very positive comments from other guests .A T.V. at the bar also shows the premiership football games if you are interested. There are restaurants within a five minute walk. The hotel has a lovely chill atmosphere perfect for a peaceful break.

nice enough hotel but aggressively approached by a lifeguard over not very loud music at the pool, put all five of us off and just stayed out of the hotel as much as we could which worked out expensive in taxi's. Ease up on the rules please Caybeach princess no music, bar shuts at 22.00, mid week stay so no entertainment. The day we left children playing in pool and the lifeguard looked as though he was going to explode one of them even had a rubber ring on .......don't go here if you want to enjoy yourself go here if you just want to sit and stare into space. Overall the hotel was fine but to many rules ruined our stay and would never return to this place. its a 3 out of 10 for me.

We had a really nice stay:) The apartment was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast buffet was fantastic. The staff very nice and friendly. The bigger swimming pool was cold but the smaller one was pleasant. There is not much around the hotel but it was easy to reach Faro de Maspalomas, Playa del Ingles, Puerto Rico, Anfi, Arguineguin, etc by bus. I would really recommend Caybeach Princess!
