Sankt Gilgen Homestays

We stayed here recently for two nights. Our room was clean and comfortable, with a small balcony. They have a small elevator available. The hotel is situated nicely for walking around the town of St, Gilgen, and not too far from Salzburg if you feel like going there. There is a small parking lot out back if you arrive by car. We had a car and this was a good base for driving around and exploring the area (and it is so beautiful!). The breakfast had a good selection of foods. We had dinner one night at the restaurant and it was quite as wel. The staff was always friendly.

Right on the shore of Lake Wolfgang, Seehotel Billroth in Sankt Gilgen offers a private beach with a sunbathing lawn and pedal boats. Tennis can be played free of charge. Guests can relax on the sun terrace. The elegant rooms offer lake or garden views, a seating area, a flat-screen cable TV, and a bathroom. Some also have a balcony. Free WiFi is available in the entire Billroth Parkhotel. The restaurant serves Austrian and international cuisine, as well as regional specialities from the Salzkammergut region and fine Austrian wines.Reservation is required.Four course menu - you can choose out of 3 different menus, no à la carte Free private parking is available on site. Hiking and cycling trails start at the doorstep, and the centre of St. Gilgen can be reached in a 10-minute walk. The Zwölferhorn Cable Car is 1.2 km away. The restaurant serves Austrian and international cuisine, as well as regional specialities from the Salzkammergut region and fine Austrian wines. Reservation is required. A la Carte only. We don't offer halfboard.

First of all, it should be mentioned that this hotel is a real eye-catcher. The location is optimal, isolated! The reception is extremely helpful with any requests (solstice bonfire, boat trip). Thank you very much for that. The rooms are very spacious, attention is paid to the little things, like the mini bishop's hat in the toothbrush glass!! Hospitality is a TOP priority here! The staff in the garden and in the restaurant, especially the men, are all great!! A consistent team that knows each other, you notice and feel that. One gentleman who was very calm and always found the right words in a highly professional, calm manner was a real positive, someone has to try and imitate that!!! The cuisine is magnificent, tradition and modernity combined, it doesn't get boring after a few days! Great enjoyment that other decorated restaurants don't offer at this level. Definitely! Big compliments to the whole kitchen!!!!!! We met the head chef personally and expressed our thanks, thank you very much for the kind words, it was a lovely chat, it was important to us to also compliment them on what goes on behind the scenes. From around 11pm you can experience a lot of peace and absolute silence (if that still exists anywhere in the world) directly by the lake or while walking along the barefoot path. We felt very comfortable and would love to come back to this wonderful place. Many thanks and best wishes to all the people who make this place what it is!!!

Located amidst a sunny and quiet green space, Hotel Hollweger offers beautiful views of St. Gilgen, the mountains, and Lake Wolfgang. The hotel owns a romantic bathing spot with a rowing boat on the lakeshore. The hotel offers a taxi service from and to the main train station and the airport of Salzburg at an extra cost.

Villa alma is the best accommodation for a trip to St. Gilgen. This accommodation is very clean, stylish and well-managed .There is an outdoor space where you can enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Wolfgang River, where you can enjoy a dry sauna. The dock to get to SchafbergBahn is within walking distance and very convenient for sightseeing. The delicious breakfast was also provided, so I had a happy time. This is a place I want to visit again. I really recommend it. Thank you to the staff who were very kind and warm.
