Family-friendly Hotels in Guangxi, China

We recently stayed at the Cozy Home Rooftop Scenic Hotel for Easter and booked three rooms for our family of eight: two Featured Couples' Rooms (Double Bed) and one Romantic Room - Double Occupancy, City-View (Roundbed) with a bathtub. Overall, we had a great experience at this hotel. The staff were extremely polite and helpful. We were particularly impressed when they went out of their way to personally show us where to wait for our ride, which was a thoughtful gesture. The hotel's location is also fantastic, providing easy access to the surrounding scenic areas. Breakfast was adequate in terms of variety, offering a decent selection, though nothing particularly fancy. We did note that only two free breakfasts were included per room. For our family, we had to pay for two extra breakfasts, which cost us around CNY 98. While the breakfast on the 9th floor offered a lovely view, this sum could have easily covered a more substantial local breakfast with coffee outside the hotel for about half the price. One minor issue we encountered was with the Romantic Room - Double Occupancy. The air conditioning in this room was noticeably weaker compared to the two Featured Couples' Rooms. Additionally, the round bed in that room was not to our personal preference for sleeping comfort. We were also intrigued by the open rooftop table with views of the mountain at sunset, as shown in the hotel's information. Unfortunately, we were unable to access the top floor during our stay, so we couldn't experience this. It seems this area might not be open to guests frequently. Despite the minor AC issue in one room and the unfulfilled rooftop view, we had a positive stay overall due to the excellent service and great location. Personally, if we were to book again, we would likely opt for the standard double rooms to ensure consistent air conditioning and a traditional bed, but we would still consider this hotel for its other merits.

Spacious, clean and excellent service by the staff. The room facilities were modern, comes with a bidet and a Baidu tech device to control room lighting and more by voice commands. Breakfast had a decent spread and an afternoon tea was also provided. It was a very comfortable stay. Location was optimal as it was near all the sights we wanted to go to. Highly recommended.

The hotel is well located and the major spots of the city are 10-20 minutes away by foot. The room was extremely cleaned, even though a little small, but it had everything we needed and beyond. Everything is new and well curated; even if the stuff didn't speak English they helped us in any possible way. We hope to come back one day!

There is also a convenience store downstairs for the supply of snacks and bottled water. There are also many restaurants nearby. The hotel is pretty new and clean, the staff are very nice and helpful. We can also view the mountain from our room and we are very pleased for our stay. It was a great time in Yangshuo.

One of the best hotels we have ever stayed at. The customer service is amazing, almost all staff we have encountered with are friendly and helpful, especially the young lady who checked us in and also helped us with our luggage. The hotel is tastefully decorated with quality materials. The breakfast was very delicious with many selections. Areas needed to improve are 1)The hot water pressure is very weak for the bathtub in our room. 2) The plastic cover for the bathtub was nice thought but not practical.

This hotel is in a great location with a beautiful view from the room. The staff was friendly and welcoming, making the stay even more enjoyable. One thing to note is that the breakfast is entirely Chinese, which might make it a bit challenging for international guests to find familiar options. A big plus was that the hotel kindly allowed us to store our luggage for a full day after check-out, which was very convenient. Overall, it was a great experience, and I would recommend this hotel for its excellent location and hospitality!

Initially booked as a stopover before going to main hotel but I fell in love with this hotel. Even though I booked without window however the design of the room was such that it didn't feel claustrophobic and there's a nice tea corner that my friend and I could chill and chat. The complimentary afternoon tea was tasty and the cafe was cute. Just a short distance away from the main West Street, very convenient to head out at night for some fun and action.

Service was great, with the complimentary breakfast and tea. The room was beautifully decorated and large in size. Also conveniently located near the walking street.  What could be improved - the treadmill in the gym was not working, and the Didi pickup/dropoff point was at the bus stop outside the hotel - you would have to carry your luggage to the bus stop instead of outside the hotel lobby (but the receptionists would gladly help you with that!)

The hotel is surrounded by nature, a little secluded and far off from the main streets. However, e-hailing taxi / Didi are very accessible and convenient. The hotel staff are very friendly and attentive but language barrier may be a challenge if you do not speak Chinese. Best to communicate via WeChat / translation app. The hotel consist of several buildings, with building 3 and 4 being the newest. Restaurant is located in building 1 which you will need to walk over the lawn, slight inconvenient if it’s raining. We had our meals at the hotel a couple of times and the food was good - only Chinese cuisine was served. Breakfast was decent. What we love was that there are several activities throughout the day organised by the hotel to keep the little ones occupied. And there are different play area in each building. If you are looking for peaceful serene stay that is also family friendly, this is the perfect place. Overall, would recommend this place to friends and family.

Excellent 2 nights stay for my family of 4 adults in Family Room (Riverview with 3 beds). Room was very clean, spacious & comfortable. All the staff (front office & housekeeping) was very professional, polite, friendly and helpful. Buffet breakfast was delicious. Loved the level 9 rooftop superb views too! Good hotel location and is within 15mins walk to West Street. Overall Miaoqihuan Hotel provides amazing accommodation and excellent services in a convenient location!

The hotel was conveniently located near the Romance show, West food street, and River within 10 min taxi ride. There are 3 small pools and 1 with kids slide. The family room where we stayed has a small slide and plush toys to help entertain small children. The breakfast has small options but sufficient. The Guilin rice noodles are delicious at breakfast. You can rent family scooters at the hotel for 50yuan an hour which was super fun as we rode to the river side. The Chinese restaurant right outside the hotel is also very delicious. The only downside is hotel staff are not fluent in English.

All staffs are super friendly, informative, responsive and supportive. We stayed in a clean cozy quiet room 510 facing the backstreet. Located at the entrance of Yangshuo West Street. Some of the tour arrangement service available at the front-desk. The only shortcoming is the lift going to the level 2 hotel lobby is a little difficult to find but it doesn’t affect the overall quality and service of this hotel.

Amazing accommodation and staff! I took my friend for a birthday trip and they decorated the room fully with balloons, roses and wrote happy birthday in Chinese. They are so sweet and friendly but honest! They advised me and managed my expectations on what to do and what not to do. One of my best experience in China. Thanks a lot and will definitely come back!

One of your front staff really made extra effort to make us welcome and help us in every way possible. The hotel is very conveniently located with many restaurants nearby and the West Street pedestrian street not far away. The toilet is very high tech with remote control for the many types of flushing, warm water washing and drying . The toilet seat cover can also automatically lift up when we go near. The only little inconvenience is the lack of rail or hook for hanging towels and clothing in the toilet and bath room area.

The location is good depending on what aspects you’re looking for. If you’re in it for the views, this is a 10/10, if you want walking distance to convenient places like the restaurants and shopping then it is not the place since you need to order a taxi to get there. But the views is what made me book the room and it definitely lived up to my expectations. Taking a bath there with a view was also very nice. The staff was also very nice.

I recently stayed at Liangsu to celebrate my mom's birthday and really appreciate 管家西西 and 小颖 for making the efforts to make the occasion so special. The room was decorated stunningly and thank you for the birthday cake! We really appreciate it! The hotel lobby is grand, the rooms are large, clean and odorless. Looking down from the 42nd floor, the scenery is great, and it is even more beautiful when the lights are turned on at night! There are people to help clean every day, the high-end customer service is polite and gentle, and it is not far from Langxi Night Market and Qingxiu Mountain. In short, it is recommended! !

My return stay at Nanning was a bit disappointed as this time my room was at a corner next to the laundry room. Ask for a change of room but was not available. Can hear dryer spinning late at night.

It is not too far from the center. It is convenient to travel. The room is spacious and the service is impressive. The price is cheap.

Hotel is located diagonally across Mixc shopping centre and easily accessible from 万象城 station on Line 1. It’s 7 stations away from 朝阳百盛步行街 on the same line. We asked for non-smoking room and were assigned a room on level 3, the only designated non-smoking floor. However the windows open to the atrium courtyard and hotel guests fragrantly flouted the no-smoking signs throughout the hotel and cigarette stench prevails. I advise non-smokers to avoid this place. Hotel has central heating during this period and it’s not possible to control the temperature in your room if you prefer cooler temperature. We had to resort to opening both door and windows to induce airflow from the cooler corridor. 小米 TV provides a reservoir of content for entertainment for purchase if the usual china terrestrial channels are not your cup of tea. The complimentary welcome drinks at the lobby is a nice touch. The complimentary afternoon tea from 2-5pm merely recycles leftovers from breakfast and can be skipped. Next trip back I’ll probably pick a hotel near 朝阳广场 for greater ease of access to shopping and restaurants.

The room size was comfortable, and I particularly loved the bathtub with its stunning view—a perfect touch of luxury. The breakfast spread was impressive, with a wide variety of options that were not only plentiful but also delicious. However, the late-night check-in process could have been smoother, falling slightly short of the seamless experience I’ve come to expect from Marriott standards based on my past stays.

I love the charm of this hotel, the excellent facilities, and the cheap prices charged for the quality of the services rendered. Outstanding services at Reception, Housekeeping, and Restaurants. A special mention to a Concierge (Alfred) who spent a long time helping me obtain things I needed, got my James phone working,among many other small favors. Again many thanks Alfred, your help was invaluable.

Nanning K International Hotel has smooth lines, dazzling lights, and a full sense of technology... The exterior has a hard, icy, and high-end sense of distance. But the contrast is that whether it is the front desk beauty, handsome guy, or room attendant, they are all passionate, warm, and very down-to-earth. In the hotel's underground parking lot, when I couldn't figure out the east, west, south, and north, I happened to meet Li Xiaomei from the housekeeping department. She introduced Building A and Building B to us in detail, and sent us to the elevator of Building A to the lobby without saying anything. There is also the customer service manager Wenwen, who took the initiative to help us carry our luggage and send us to the room after helping to check in. Afterwards, on WeChat, she introduced Nanning's tourist attractions in detail, and reminded us in time that the weather was cooling down, and we needed to add clothes when going out, and pay attention to keeping warm. We also coordinated the vehicle and arranged the airport drop-off time according to our return flight time to ensure that we would not delay our return trip. In addition, when we left the hotel, the front desk beauty Xiao Lu took the initiative to hand us drinking water until we got to the car. A heartwarming journey to be a fan of the front desk lady My babies! I declare this to be the most humane hotel I have ever stayed in! ! I came to Nanning last week and casually booked a hotel near the Sanjieliangxiang scenic spot. As a result, Miss Mo at the front desk completely warmed my heart! The plane was late that day and we arrived at the hotel at around 10 o'clock. I walked in hungry with my suitcase. Xiao Mo helped me with the check-in procedures and even took me directly to the restaurant to drink hot porridge! The whole process was like being a family with warm smiles. It left me with a very good first impression. The next day, I came back from a wild walk in Qingxiu Mountain, exhausted as a dog, and had to wash the dirty clothes in the evening. It turns out that I have to wait in the laundry room until the clothes are washed and then put into the dryer by myself, which is a very boring and frustrating task! It happened that Xiao Mo was on duty, and she said directly, ”Go back to your room and rest. I'll keep an eye on your clothes. I'll call you when they're done!” This feeling of being taken care of by a family member warmed my heart again! To be honest, there are hotels with good hardware everywhere, but service like Xiao Mo's that comes from the heart and is considerate is really rare!
