The Piazza dell&#39;Anfiteatro is a public square in the northeast quadrant of the walled centre of Lucca, Tuscany, Italy. The ring of buildings surrounding the square follows an oval, former oval-shaped second-century Roman amphitheatre of Lucca.

Cathedral of Lucca

Lucca Cathedral (Lucca&#39;s Duomo&#39;) is located within the walls of Lucca, Italy. It is also known as the Church of St. Martin. It is the seat of the Archbishop of Lucca. Construction began in the 10th century, and the apse with its towering columned arcades and exquisite bell tower is preserved in the original structure. The nave and half-portico of the cathedral were rebuilt in the Gothic style in the 14th century, while the construction of the west front began in 1204, with a wide portico composed of three magnificent arches, above which are three open spaces and galleries decorated with sculptures.
