Whale Chorus presents Alice: an interactive theatre workshop at the Multi-Arts Pavilion (MAP mima) in Speers Point, NSW. This workshop, inspired by the story of Alice in Wonderland, invites participants to explore creative play and storytelling in a unique theatrical experience. Children aged 12 and under are at the heart of the action, where their imaginations are nurtured through interactive storytelling and play. The workshop, led by the artists from Whale Chorus theatre company, aims to engage both children and adults in a world of wonder and creativity.

Founded by theatre artist Janie Gibson, Whale Chorus is a Newcastle-based theatre company focused on creating immersive and immediate performances that reinvigorate the connection between artists and audiences. In addition to live theatre productions, Whale Chorus is dedicated to developing the next generation of storytellers through artist training programs. The Alice interactive performance workshop is supported by Create NSW and will take place on April 19, 2024, with ticket prices ranging from $6.61 to $11.90. The venue, MAP mima, is wheelchair accessible and offers amenities tailored for a diverse audience, including flashing lights during performances and accessible parking options.
