Utilize our extensive wood type collection and historic Albion press and galley proofing presses to design text and backgrounds. Additionally, experiment with our metal type collection and Adana presses to set your own smaller lines of type. This course is suitable for beginners as well as those with some printmaking experience looking to expand their skills. Under the guidance of your tutor, David Armes, a renowned visual artist specializing in letterpress, you'll learn about letterpress terminology, delve into its history, and uncover fascinating facts throughout the course. Take advantage of this opportunity to explore letterpress and discover new possibilities for your artistic journey. All necessary inks, papers, tools, and equipment will be provided. Don't forget to bring a small portfolio folder to carry your prints home. Refunds are available if cancellation occurs at least 14 days before the course starts.
