The curiosity to understand today’s game changers in contemporary art, documentary film maker Sacha Hulsebosch has followed NotFair Art Fair - Australia’s Independent Art Fair - and recorded the stories about its humble beginnings, the challenges of Covid, and the behind the scenes of its major exhibitions; stories that are brought to life through the lens of the creative journey of 8 brilliant artists as they come together to exhibit at a major exhibition. Join us for an exclusive screening of: Emerge ACMI cinema 1 Sunday the 1st of June Doors open at 2pm for 2.30pm screening The screening is followed by a Q&A with artists and filmmakers Afterparty at BeerDeLuxe An antithesis of trade art fairs such as the Melbourne Art Fair, NotFair is a non-profit Art Organization representing artists without gallery representation. This documentary follows eight NotFair artists, exploring their creative journeys — from finding inspiration amid isolation and mental health struggles during the pandemic to showcasing their work at a former auction house in South Yarra. About the production: Sacha Hulsebosch is a Dutch born filmmaker, focused on films, and now started with her first documentary, creating powerful stories for social change. Mission and vision of the project: I am a great believer of social change, reason why I dive into complexed stories, explore them and document them in order to create awareness and support. My mission and vision are to extend this to a broad audience from an independent and observational perspective.
