Hey Ho, Let's Go! Celebrating 50 Years of the Ramones | Kitchener Public Library

The Ramones released their debut LP 50 years ago and changed rock forever. Join us for a vinyl listening party with punk historian Liz Worth Fifty years ago, four kids from Queens changed rock and roll forever. Join us for a full vinyl listen-through of the Ramones' self-titled debut LP, with author and punk historian Liz Worth on hand to put the album in context and guide the conversation. The Ramones' debut is thrilling, influential, and not without controversy — Liz will help us engage with all of it. We'll spin it from start to finish — all 29 blazing minutes of it. About our Guest Host Liz Worth is a Hamilton-based author, poet, and punk historian. Her book Treat Me Like Dirt: An Oral History of Punk in Toronto and Beyond , was the first to provide an in-depth history of Southern Ontario's first wave punk movement. Her work has appeared in Exclaim!, the Globe and Mail, the Toronto Star, and more. This event starts at 7:00 p.m. Doors open at 6:30pm. - ------------ Reminder!
