Plant Identification Test Date: 29 May 2023 Location: Sutton Courtenay Environmental Education Centre A test of botanical survey skills, aimed at consultants, government agency surveyors and local authority ecologists who want to know their level on the skills ladder, from 1 (beginner) to 8 (authority). The Plant ID test uses our experience from working in this sector to test your ability not just to identify as many plants as possible, but also to conduct a competent survey - for example, by finding the important plants in a site. Mobile phone use is allowed, as we don't reject modern technology, and your knowledge and intelligence will be tested using questions about how an identification was made. The cost is deliberately kept low to encourage young botanists to earn this certificate, which is awarded under the aegis of Canterbury Christ Church University School of Life Sciences. Entry fee: $50 Format: Sealed - Final Fantasy We will be hosting two events: Friday June 6th at 7pm and Saturday June 7th at 5pm. All participating player will receive a prerelease kit. Inside each kit players will fin 6 play boosters, a promo card, and a life tracker. Players will then be tasked with building a 40-card deck with the contents of their kit (basic lands will be provided). After all players have finished deck building, we will then host a 3-round event. Each round players will be randomly paired against an opponent and will play a best-of-3 match. Players are free to change their deck and rebuild between games as much as they want. After the third round, players may collect their prizes. Each player earns one play booster per match draw and two play boosters per match win. After both our prerelease events are over, left over kits (if any) will be available for purchase. -Entry fee: $12.00, due at the time of registration. -This is a sanctioned Bandai event, so each participant will need to have a Bandai TCG+ account membership to register themself using the website or app. If you don't have one, you can create a free account here . -The format is Constructed following the latest rules, errata, and restricted list. They can be found here . -The tournament will consist of 3 rounds of Swiss. Each round will be a 45-minute best-of-three-game match. End-of-round procedure is an additional 5 minutes added to the game OR three additional full turns, whichever finishes first. Players may choose to intentionally draw (ID) their match. -Each player will receive 1 tournament pack just for participating. In order to safeguard and protect persons from abuse or neglect we need to learn how to identify vulnerable individuals and take necessary steps to stop abuse and neglect. Everyone has the right to be safe and live without the fear of abuse, neglect or exploitation and this course aims to teach you how to recognise the signs of abuse and neglect and what actions you can take to stop this from happening and occurring again in the future. Abuse, neglect and exploitation can occur anywhere and by anyone, quite often being a person of trust. This course is designed for all persons, no matter the field that they are directly involved in, to give them the tools and knowledge to make a difference to a vulnerable person’s life. It will also let the practitioner reporting the abuse know how they can safeguard themselves in every day work, while seeking help and reporting the incident identified.
