Voodoo Thai Kickboxing Trials Seminar / Competitions / Sparring / Assessments These trials will be ran four times per year, and open to all levels of Voodoo members from all our Satellite gyms. This is a chance for us to get together, meet the coaches that you don’t see every day, and the students from other classes and clubs. You are guaranteed to take away something new, and it’s your chance to be observed by the coaches so they can assess you for promotion in a fun and informal way. We will no longer be running formal adult kickboxing gradings, so this is your only chance to progress towards your black belt. Seminar Guest coaches will teach you something a little special that is not taught in the mainstream classes, something to take-away and add to your game. You may be invited to teach your favourite techniques, if you are, do not miss out on this unique opportunity to show others what you can do. Competitions On these trials we will be running in-house competitions. If you would like to try what it would feel like competing, then this is the safe and fun environment to do so. If you have competed for us before and would like to show the other attendees ‘how it’s done’ in a demonstration bout, then let us know so we can match you accordingly. There will be trophies, medals, and of course the good-old Ego boost. Technical Sparring Part of the day will be set aside for technical sparring. Coaches will guide you on how to spar safely and effectively, giving you winning tips and tricks. "Everybody Health & Leisure is organizing an Adult Inclusive Cycling session aimed at assisting individuals with impairments to stay active and enjoy themselves. These sessions offer those with impairments or additional needs the chance to engage in cycling, promote physical activity, independence, and leisure. Your child has been recommended by their coach, met the required criteria and are now eligible and invited to attend the next Brazilian Jiu Jitsu examination grading. GRADING VENUE: Voodoo Combat, 125A Chestergate, Macclesfield, SK11 6DP You will need to arrive early for a prompt start. The examination is scheduled to run between 60 - 90 minutes. It will be led and adjudicated by Voodoo Combat coaches to assess their development and future progress. GRADING SYSTEM: Under 16's Belts: Grey/White, Grey, Grey/Black, Yellow/White, Yellow, Yellow/Black, Orange/White, Orange, Orange/Black, Green/White, Green, Green/Black. REQUIRED EQUIPMENT: You are required to wear your GI and Belt, and also have your Gum Shield. GRADING RESULTS: Once you've graded there are four possible outcomes: Fail, Rereferral, Pass or Pass with Stripes. Feedback will be given privately for your future development. GRADING FEES: The grading fee of £32.00 is to be paid a minimum of 5 days before the grading date shown above so we can register your details. If we do not receive the fee in time you will not be registered to grade and should not attend. The grading fee includes registration, belts awarded, all overheads and administration costs.
