The 2025 ShowMe Recruiting Combine will be held on April 11th at the Kansas City Convention Center (Hall D) and is open to any 8th grade and high school age player, regardless if they are participating in the ShowMe National Qualifier or not. The Recruiting Combine will be from 7 to 8:30 p. and will be promoted to every NCAA Division I program in the USA, along with every Division II, Division III, NAIA and Junior College Volleyball program in Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, Iowa, Nebraska and Arkansas. 30+ Colleges attend annually! Volleyball players will be divided by position and graduation year to allow attending college coaches to efficiently evaluate them. Multiple courts will be used at the KC Convention Center, with each court having a court coach , to allow players to showcase their skills sets to the college coaches. The court coaches will put the players through volleyball drills within their specific positions, along with combining positions to illustrate group skill sets. The focus will be on position and group play, for easy evaluation by college coaches. There will be a Combine Update and Recruiting Education talk provided by a 15 year NCAA DI Volleyball head coach for the parents at the check in area! Parents are not allowed into the Combine, per the request of the college coaches - This allows the players to focus on skills and the college coaches to focus on evaluations. Celebrate what made Kansas City’s 2024 Art in the Loop Project: Convivencia great. The curated outdoor exhibition, staged in partnership with the KC Streetcar Authority, wraps up with a reception, illustrated review, and reflection on this year’s entries. Art in the Loop organizers and participants look back on the artistic works and performances featured from June to September. Art directors Jade Osborne and Marissa Starke will lead a presentation highlighting all the offerings, and selected artists present their works and discuss their experiences. The event includes poetry of Fenom D. Poet, social practice engagement with Sheri Purpose Hall and dance perfomance by Oliva Emert & Company. Art in the Loop is designed to make cultural experiences available to downtown residents, visitors, and workers. The closing event is co-presented by the Art in the Loop Foundation, the Downtown Council and KC Streetcar Authority. A reception and live performance will start at 5:30 p.m. followed by the program at 6:00 p.m. This event is free and open to the public; however, we do ask that you RSVP for planning purposes. 2024 marks the 11th year of the Art in the Loop Project.
