Common Ground offers a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere, making it one of the top destinations for live comedy on Saturdays. Jericho Comedy has garnered high praise from reputable sources such as The Times, The Sunday Times, the iPaper, and the Telegraph. Their Saturday shows have even won the prestigious Chortle industry award two years in a row, cementing their reputation as the best comedy night in the area for 2019 and 2020. Please note that due to high demand, the venue tends to fill up quickly, and latecomers may not be able to enter once the show has started. The recommended age for attending is 16 and above, as adult themes may be explored during the performances. Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult. The authors examine the ideological dimension of literary celebrity and address the complex relationship between literature, politics, celebrity culture, and market activism. They also explore the responsibility of literature in today's fragmented societies.
