Strength & Stretch This class format is both energizing and relaxing, and provides a perfect balance between strengthening and stretching the whole body. In the first half of the class I will guide you to actively hold yoga poses to engage various muscle groups and strengthen your balance. The second half of class is focused on holding deep stretch Yin poses to release and lengthen our connective tissues. This practice will leave you feeling balanced physically and energetically in both body and mind. This class is beginner level and is suitable for adults (16 years +) of any fitness level who are able to get down onto their mats and up to standing again unassisted. Teen Cardio, Strength & Stretch Yoga This workshop series is designed for the particular needs of Teens, and is aimed at improving general health and wellbeing. A regular movement practice like yoga can provide so many benefits including an opportunity to find stillness, connect with ourselves, develop a positive relationship with our body, help manage stress, tension, anxiety and other common challenges while improving strength, flexibility, balance, focus and confidence. On top of that, this series will be a lot of fun! Who doesn't need more of that in their lives? The class format includes 15-20 minutes each of Cardio warmup, holding Strength Yoga poses and Stretching. We will challenge our muscles, practice our breathwork, and then slow down for stretching to allow the muscles to release and the connective tissues to lengthen. You will leave class feeling energized, relaxed and centred in both body and mind. This class is beginner level and is suitable for Teens of any fitness level.
