Leeds Digital Ball 2025 | Royal Armouries Museum
Jun 12, 2025 (UTC+1)ENDED
Leeds
Want more than 3 tickets? Book here!
The fourth annual Leeds Digital Charity Ball takes place on the 12th June 2025, at the Royal Armouries Museum.
The 2025 Leeds Digital Charity Ball will be hosted at The Royal Armouries, New Dock Hall, and will bring together over 500 members of the North’s Digital and Technology community.
Whether you want to make new connections or see old friends, we have everyone in the room, from CTOs and CDIOs to entry-level talent. This is your chance to build meaningful relationships and even do some business while raising money for Leeds Community Foundation.
Introduction
Digital exclusion continues to be a major issue, with people living in digital poverty increasingly left out in a world where everything has become digital-first. To bridge the divide, people need access to three key things: equipment, connectivity, and skills.
Collaboration is key. With a group of board members and supporters from across the Leeds region, we have come together to ignite the tech community through an annual charity ball, creating a powerhouse fighting a common goal: helping the disadvantaged, abolishing digital exclusion, and driving positive change.
Digital technology and the internet can transform lives by creating opportunities and providing support where it’s needed most. To tackle the underlying causes of digital exclusion, we have created the annual Leeds Digital Charity Ball to challenge the digital divide and raise funds so more people can develop skills and access the technology needed to live in a digital world.
Impact So Far
In total, we have raised £225,000 since 2021. Last year, the ball was a sellout event, raising over £65,000, which directly supports Leeds Community Foundation, small charities, and community organisations within the city to help local people.
With support from 100% Digital Leeds, Leeds Community Foundation funds projects that take various approaches to addressing the digital divide in our communities, from one-to-one and group digital skills sessions to training digital champions. From using art to teach digital skills to providing support for those who are deaf or hard of hearing, organisations are tailoring their work to meet their communities’ needs.

Ultimate Irish Dance Experience | First Direct Arena | LEEDS | First Direct Arena
Jun 29, 2025 (UTC+0)ENDED
Leeds
Created by Armstrong Dance, with original new music from Golden Globe-nominated composer Brian Byrne (
Heartbeat of Home
),
Celtic Throne—Psalter of Ireland
is guaranteed to be an experience unlike any other!
Celtic Throne
reflects the wide-ranging talents and interests of its creators and dancers. First and foremost, it’s an Irish dance show, with plenty of the fancy footwork and formidable stomps made world-famous by iconic shows like
Riverdance,
Lord of the Dance
and
Heartbeat of Home
. “We adore these shows; they are an inspiration,” says director Brad Macdonald. “We wouldn’t be doing this if these amazing productions hadn’t blazed the trail for us. But
Celtic Throne II
is totally unique—we are blazing our own trail!”
Watching beautiful, happy children, some as young as 7 and 8, dancing and playing music will melt your heart. Sensational gymnastics and martial arts will have you on the edge of your seat and remind you of watching the Olympics. Our live musicians electrify even the most reserved audiences, transporting them to a cozy Irish pub. The dance and music are enhanced by stunning costumes, an elaborate set, sensational lighting and special effects, and dramatic video storytelling on a gigantic, state-of-the-art LED screen.
“Imagine taking a classic Irish dance show and blending it with a West End musical and a Hollywood movie,” says Macdonald. “This is what we have done with
Celtic Throne—Psalter of Ireland.
You won’t find better value for your money—it’s three experiences in one!”
Our dancers range in age from 5 to 25. The troupe is comprised mostly of students from the Carey Academy, some of whom have placed highly in Worlds, All Irelands, Great Britain and North American Nationals, and other top Irish dance competitions.

The Benefits of Sound Therapy – Mental, Emotional, Physical & Spiritual Wellbeing
Christian will be guiding us through an interactive talk on the power of sound for deep healing and transformation.
Sound is more than just something we hear—it’s something we
feel
. It moves through us, shifting stuck energy, rebalancing our nervous system, and helping us release what no longer serves us.
Christian will take us on a journey into how sound therapy can support
mental, emotional, and physical
wellbeing—helping to process trauma, dissolve stress, and restore balance in our everyday lives. Whether the root of our struggles lies in childhood experiences, ancestral patterns, or past-life imprints, the frequencies of sound offer a powerful way to reconnect, reset, and step into a brighter, more aligned future.
If you’ve ever been curious about the power of sound, this is your invitation to
immerse, experience, and feel the shift for yourself.

Introduction to roller dance | The Skate Sanctuary by RGG
Jun 5, 2025 (UTC+1)ENDED
Leeds
This is our most gentle roller dance class, designed to introduce the roller dance skills and techniques we have developed since 2015.
This is a 4-week course. Although you can buy individual class tickets, attending all 4 classes will help you progress more, as the course builds on skills each week.
***Offer: buy all 4 classes and receive a free FNS ticket at the end of the course
***
While no previous dance experience is necessary, we do think you will get more from the workshop if you are able to stand still, roll forwards and step from side to side on your roller skates. If you don't feel confident to join in on skates, you are welcome to wear your shoes or socks and join in with wheels when you feel ready.
Fundamental roller dance skills will allow you to fully develop and understand body position and how this can support you.
Why do we love roller dance so much?
It fosters a sense of belonging when folks are able to dance together. Roller dance is incredibly powerful and we have had the privilege of being in spaces where skaters don't speak the same language, but are able to join in with the same steps in dance.
It supports fantastic footwork and technique that will support all other forms of roller skating. Especially balance.
It doesn't require a lot of room, so you can practise in a smaller space - like The Skate Sanctuary!
It's great fun.
It's a fabulous warm up
You will become a more confident skater and learn to be more patient with yourself.
Skate Hire
Skate hire is available from the front desk for £3 per session - you can pay by cash or card
Drinking water is available and we have a selection of hot and cold refreshments for sale.
