Jacob Moon | Live in Concert | Crown & Press — A Julia Veenstra Gallery and Café

Jul 11, 2025 (UTC-4)ENDED
Lake Hamilton
Concerts
We're thrilled to bring the one-and-only Jacob Moon to Crown & Press for an intimate live show! Jacob Moon is known for his giftedness as a singer, songwriter of award-winning pop and folk songs. He is also a master of the art of ‘live looping’, a performance style where he records what he’s playing in real time and layers sound on sound to make one guitar sound like an orchestra. Legendary artists like Rush, Marillion and Gordon Lightfoot have taken a shine to Moon’s renditions of their songs and have lavished him praise and a spotlight that has gained him international attention. It is these inventive covers that draws the fans in, but it’s Moon’s original material (12 albums) and his compelling live show that make them pull up a chair. Moon‘s latest record is “Under a Setting Sun”, a collection of original songs written and recorded during the pandemic. (2022). Information Source: Crown & Press | eventbrite

Commitment to the Soul | 64 Wellington St N

Jul 13, 2025 (UTC-4)ENDED
Lake Hamilton
Cultural Experiences
Join us in this mystical exercise and discussion event. The exercise will be for the purpose of strengthening our commitment to the soul. There is a current need for humanity individually and collectively, through the soul personality, to honor and commit itself to the prompting and integrity of the indwelling soul. How can the soul personality display the soul’s expression of love and oneness? What are the benefits of expressing these attributes of the soul? What should the obstacles to this end be replaced with? How can we best serve humanity to the glory of the Divine? One of the purposes of the universal soul, that special extension of the Divine that is within, is to evolve the soul personality. As Divine Love flows, it communicates the desire to be the sole energy that exits from our heart and mind. How can we enable this flow? What guides the soul personality in accomplishing its divine mission, to become kind, loving, forgiving and patient? The goal is to allow the great law of love to gradually become the law of our being and the intention of our life. This physical world, with its experiences and human contacts, is absolutely essential to the work that the soul agreed to for the purpose of evolving and expressing divine qualities. What is the role of the mind? We will discuss these timely topics and more. Healing with Parts Work: An Internal Family Systems Workshop | Dundas Driving Park

Jul 17, 2025 (UTC-4)ENDED
Lake Hamilton
Cultural Experiences
Join us for a workshop that invites us to slow down, turn inward, and gently explore the inner patterns and parts that shape our experiences of ourselves and others - through the lens of Internal Family Systems (IFS). Together, we’ll explore how our “parts” - aspects of our psyche - carry stories, roles, and energy shaped by both our individual experiences and collective histories, including cultural, ancestral, and societal influences. Through a blend of didactic learning and experiential exploration, we will cultivate pathways to self-connection, healing, and integration. In this 2-hour workshop, you’ll: Be introduced to the foundational concepts of IFS Explore how parts form, why they protect us, and how they can transform - influenced by personal, ancestral, and collective histories Experience guided exercises to connect with your parts Have space to reflect, share, and ask questions This is a welcoming space for all, and no previous experience is required to join us. About Your Facilitator: Nina is a mother, singer, and Registered Psychotherapist in private practice, specializing in Internal Family Systems (IFS) and body-oriented psychotherapy for women. She is passionate about embodied healing as a catalyst for personal and collective transformation and liberation. A lifelong learner, Nina holds an MSc in Psychology and Neuroscience of Mental Health, an MA in Counselling Psychology, and is currently pursuing a PhD in Somatic Psychology. Though deeply informed by formal study, her greatest teacher has been her own personal healing journey. Her philosophy is rooted in wholeness and integration – honouring healing as a return to our forgotten parts and an embodiment of the true Self. No one will be turned away for lack of funds — reach out if cost is a barrier, and we’ll provide subsidies. hamiltonpsychedelic@gmail.com Patreon paid members get $5 off by entering the discount code.
