What to Expect From Us: Sleeping Rooms - All rooms are upstairs and are shared - there are no private rooms available and a chair lift is available for assistance. There are two ADA rooms available upon request. Meals - Dinner will be served on Tuesday evening. A continental breakfast, lunch, and dinner will be served on Wednesday and Thursday. On Friday morning, enjoy a hot "farewell" breakfast before you check out and get on the road! Of course, for you early birds Monday evening, a continental breakfast will be served Tuesday morning. Snacks - We set out a snack table - because sewing definitely makes us all snack-y. We provide light snacks for the group but if there is something particular you crave, feel free to bring it. Sewing Table Seating - We do have assigned seating for the well-lit 4' sewing tables (personal sewing lamps are optional). About ecstatic dance: A form of self-expression, intuitive, unguided movement supported by a musical journey guided by DJ Sammy C spinning live. You are encouraged to move however you feel moved. Ecstatic dance is meant to bring you joy, happiness and vitality! There is no talking on the dance floor. The dance floor is a space for you to let the music move you. It is also a safe space to explore any and all movement, whether that means stretching, or shaking, gliding, stomping, spinning, or snapping - however the music wants to move through your body. No prior yoga or dance experience is required!! There is no right/wrong way to move. The ecstatic dance floor is a space of non-judgemen t and non-attachment - two key pillars in Yoga Philosophy . You do not need a partner, nor do you need to perform for anyone. What emerges in your dance is an expression of what’s inside you: tune in to what needs to be moved, released, recognized or seen. Chill out & connect with community in the Sun Room: There will also be an opportunity to connect in the chill out zone in the sun room next door, if need a break from the dance floor. Cushions, blankets and all the supportive props along with oracle cards, an art corner and meditative puzzle will be there for you to unwind, tune-in and/or connect with others. Not only is she the creative force behind the Buttermilk Basin brand but she thrives to bring you a welcoming atmostphere and unforgettable experience whether it's in her shop in MN, her satellite shop in MO and through her curated events. Come enjoy taking a wool applique workshop where you will learn the basics of wool applique and complete an adorable sewing-themed projects. You will learn her tried and true fusing technique, cutting tips, and basic stitches. We know once you learn the basics, you'll fall in love with this medium and get lost in handwork. Stacy will be teaching the Create Runner and Sewing Needle Keep. Kits are included in the price of the Retreat. NOTE: Thread kits for these projects will be available for the price of $23.95 (or you may bring your own thread as needed). For the Full Retreat Experience ($675.00) Includes lodging Tuesday – 9 a.m. Check-in, set up, shopping, open sew (lunch on your own), and afternoon scavenger hunt (dinner is included). Wednesday/Thursday – Breakfast, workshop, break for lunch, project sewing, shopping, open sew, dinner (Thursday Show N Tell). Friday – Farewell breakfast and checkout is at noon. What to Expect From MSQC: Sleeping Rooms - All rooms are upstairs and are shared - there are no private rooms available and a chair lift is available for assistance. The shared rooms are configured in several different ways and are twin beds. There are 6 individual private bathrooms, each with a shower, toilet and sink; all are just steps away from the sleeping rooms. There are two ADA rooms available upon request. These rooms have 2 twin beds each and a bathroom. If you need accessibility to our first floor rooms, please reach out to us via email (retreats@missouriquiltco.com) or by phone (816-265-1812). Meals - Dinner will be served on Tuesday evening. A continental breakfast, lunch, and dinner will be served on Wednesday and Thursday. Snacks - We set out a snack table - because sewing definitely makes us all snack-y. We provide light snacks for the group but if there is something particular you crave, feel free to bring it.
