Christian Witness in Our Ecological Age (Hamilton, ON) | First Hamilton Christian Reformed Church
May 31, 2025 (UTC-4)
Lake Hamilton
Join A Rocha Ontario for a panel discussion on Saturday, May 31st to explore the topic of Christian Witness in Our Ecological Age!
Our current ecological age is one of rapid change. We are losing forests, fields, and agricultural land as cities continue to expand and sprawl. There are more and more extreme weather events linked with a changing climate. We have seen a significant decrease in many wildlife populations and an increase in the rate of species extinctions. Humans are witnessing many changes, difficulties, and complexities in our current ecological age.
So, what are we to do about this? How should we as the church respond? These are some of the questions that we would like to explore together with the help of our panelists, who have experience in restoration ecology, forestry, soil health, and environmental literature. All are encouraged to bring your own questions for our panelists and participate in our group discussion time at the end.
