This workshop will be hosted at Valor Wines. Located in North Haven Connecticut, we are a family owned and operated micro winery with generations of experience in wine making. This nurtured passion allows us to make unique and distinctive wines using grapes from all over the world. It was a long fight to start one of the first micro wineries in CT, and we were excited to finally open our doors in September 2021. Our passion for wine making blends respect for tradition with boundless curiosity for what is possible. We believe knowing your roots can uncork the potential to think outside the bottle. Making us uniquely situated to create one of a kind small batch wines which will invoke both familiar comfort and striking intrigue. Come visit us in our state of the art facility, where industrial meets medieval romance.

The Porteur 200 | Porteur Cafe
Jun 28, 2025 (UTC+1)
Hove
Date:
Saturday 28 June 2025
Location:
Porteur Cafe, 210 Church Road, Hove, BN3 2DJ
Whether you're here to smash it round the full course or signing up for your first 100km or 200km off road ride - we've got you covered.
Not to blow our own trumpets but the course is sick. It's comprised of our favourite South Downs trails and consists of two loops from Porteur Cafe, one West, one East.
200km participants will start at 6am completing both loops and the 100km people will set off around lunchtime to do the East loop. The plan is that everyone finishes at some stage on the evening for food and prize giving!
The GPX of the route will be published soon but rest assured you'll face some spicy hills and your in for a long day out so keep firing the furnace with plenty of carbs.
We'll be recommending resupply points including cafes and shops so keep an eye out for the route guide which will be published nearer the ride.
It's not a race but an inclusive event where everyone is welcome, so don't worry if you've not done an event like this before, there'll be plenty of friendly faces and moral support along the way.
The route will be 100% ridable on a gravel bike but a mountain bike would also be a good option.
As well as some food at the finish, we'll be giving away some freebies from our sponsors which will be announced soon.
Peace ✌️and see you soon

How to Develop Authentic Self Worth | Lake House
Jun 28, 2025 (UTC+1)
Ashford
Often we feel that we come up short; that we aren’t good enough, wise enough, or capable enough. When these thoughts arise they can feel very solid as if we’re seeing the “real” us: someone who is stuck, incapable of change, and doesn’t measure up. We then get down on ourself, or even lash out at others to compensate.
Buddha revealed that when we see ourself as not good enough, we are under the influence of delusion, a distorted misapprehension of our nature and our potential. By applying Buddha’s wisdom, we can completely dismantle this misperception and come to identify ourself in the correct way: as someone with an extraordinary capacity for change, who finally can bring benefit to the entire world.
In this half-day course, we will examine Buddha’s teachings that help us recognise, reduce and finally abandon this distorted perception of ourself so that finally we can become the person we truly wish to be.
This course is suitable for everyone from complete beginners to experienced meditators.

Payneham
Adelaide is about to welcome Australia's first Turkish winter solstice festival - Nardugan Festival!
The name "Nardugan" comes from the ancient Turkic words "Nar" (sun) and "Tugan" (birth), which means: "The sun is born!". This is not an ordinary festival, but a grand celebration symbolizing the "return of daylight and the reappearance of warm sunshine". It has been popular in Central Asia, Turkey and even Uzbekistan for a long time, and now it has finally been brought to Australia!

About this course
Bobbin Lace is a craft with long history; dating from 1500’s. Within this course you look at what Torchon Lace is, notable for being coarse and strong, as well as its simple geometric patterns and straight lines. This is historically used as edgings or insertions. Torchon Bobbin Lace is multiple thread craft, and often continuations – like macrame, so if you enjoyed macrame and want to try something similar, try this short course.
Over the course you will learn the grounds used in Torchon lace, how patterns are formed and how elements can be used in patterns. You will make samples which can be bookmarks or jewellery items (please discuss with tutor prior to course if you have a specific goal). This course is suitable for all.
This course will concentrate on Torchon Bobbin Lace, which can be suitable for those with no previous knowledge but if you have previous knowledge then the tutor will develop an individual plan that meets your aims to develop your lacemaking skills within this style of Bobbin Lace.
