Join Teresa and Miles Tuffli for a spring birding walk exploring Foothill Regional Park in Windsor. We’ll explore the oak woodlands, rolling hillsides, grasslands, and ponds of this beautiful park by walking slowly and pausing frequently to observe and discuss the bird life. Spring is a wonderful time to go birdwatching in Sonoma County and enjoy the rich array of birdsong -- we'll be on the lookout for the variety of birds who make the area their home for the breeding season. Let's explore another area of the Laguna Watershed! All levels of birding experience are welcome! We'll touch on a variety of topics, such as: getting the most out of your binoculars, techniques for locating birds, what sorts of details to notice when observing a bird, species identification, bird vocalizations, and bird behavior and habitats. Please Note: We will be covering up to 2 miles on foot in un-even trial along with a couple of inclines. Though we’ll be walking slowly, for those with mobility issues, please be aware that there will be some elevation gain and we'll be on unpaved trails. Depending on recent rainfall, the trails may be muddy. Instuctor Bio: Teresa and Miles Tuffli are avid birders from Sonoma County. The Town of Walkerville was incorporated in 1890, and was founded by Hiram Walker , owner and producer of Canadian Club Whisky . It was once a distinct town separate from Windsor where Walker not only established homes for his workers, but he also dedicated a church to his late wife, and a school and several other important buildings. Many of these structures developed outwards from his landmark distillery. Join us on a 3-kilometer, one and a half hour walking tour of Walkerville, one of Windsor’s most distinct and beautiful neighborhoods. Introduction Welcome to the exciting world of game development with Roblox Studio! This course is designed to empower students aged 8–17 to unleash their creativity by building their own 3D video games from the ground up. Through hands-on activities, students will learn how to design and manipulate objects in a three-dimensional space, while enhancing their problem-solving and critical thinking skills. Using Lua , a powerful text-based scripting language, students will bring their games to life by adding interactive behaviors and dynamic elements.
