Ontdek nieuw talent als eerste in deze serie van Stadsherstel en het Conservatorium. Dit keer: Daniils Čiričs (viool) & Maria Parfonova (piano) met het project “Fate and DeLight”. Dit project heeft als doel de essentie van de hedendaagse realiteit over te brengen zonder woorden, waardoor het voor elke luisteraar een unieke ervaring wordt. Vandaag de dag bevinden we ons opnieuw in een wereld vol conflicten, meningsverschillen, angsten en emoties die al eeuwenlang deel uitmaken van de muzikale geschiedenis. Het programma, getiteld Fate and DeLight, verkent de complexe innerlijke werelden van componisten zoals Beethoven, Mozart, Bartók, Elgar en Brahms. Elk stuk in het programma is zorgvuldig gekozen om het volledige spectrum van emoties te weerspiegelen die deze componisten ervoeren bij het schrijven van deze werken, gevormd door de uitdagingen en invloeden van hun tijd. Brahms: Vioolsonate nr. 3Biografie Maria Parfonova: Maria Parfonova werd geboren in 2005 in Kyiv. Ze begon op zesjarige leeftijd met pianospelen en studeerde vanaf 2012 aan de Kiev Children’s Music School No.35. In 2017 nam Maria deel aan het schoolprogramma voor leerlingbestuur en behaalde ze de eerste plaats in de schoolbrede competitie “Beste Leerling van het Jaar”. In datzelfde jaar werd ze toegelaten tot het Kyiv State Music Lyceum (KSML), een van de toonaangevende muzikale onderwijsinstellingen in Oekraïne (pianoafdeling), waar ze in mei 2022 op 17-jarige leeftijd met een gouden medaille afstudeerde. Op tienjarige leeftijd won ze in 2015 de derde prijs bij de Puhalski Competitie (Oekraïne) en in 2016 werd ze laureaat van de eerste prijs bij de Oekraïense pianowedstrijd “Christmas Miniatures”. In 2017 trad ze op in de Nationale Filharmonie van Oekraïne en ontving ze een beurs voor jonge Oekraïense muzikanten. In 2019 nam ze deel aan het Tsjaikovski Festival en won ze de eerste prijs. In 2021 behaalde ze de eerste prijs bij de Kamermuziekcompetitie ter ere van het 125-jarig jubileum van V. Kosenko. In datzelfde jaar bereidde ze het Eerste Pianoconcert van Prokofjev voor met het schoolorkest, dat in april 2022 zou worden uitgevoerd in de Kyiv Filharmonie. Helaas werd dit optreden verhinderd door de oorlog in Oekraïne. Door de oorlog in Oekraïne moest Maria in maart 2022 haar land ontvluchten. Op 8 maart arriveerde ze met haar ouders vanuit Kyiv in Amsterdam. Na het afronden van haar eindexamens werd ze in april toegelaten tot het Conservatorium van Amsterdam, waar ze studeerde bij Naum Grubert. Na haar aankomst in Nederland trad Maria op bij benefietconcerten voor Oekraïne in Den Haag, Amsterdam, Delden, Baarn en Oranjewoud samen met Tatiana Abayeva, Boris Fedorov en Anna Fedorova. In mei 2022 en 2023 nam ze deel aan het Stift International Music Festival. In 2024 trad ze op in de serie Concert aan Zee in Muiderberg en gaf ze solorecitals tijdens het Ontsnapte Klanken Festival in Amsterdam en een expositie van Amnesty Gouda in de Garenspinnerij. Momenteel zit Maria in haar derde jaar van de bacheloropleiding aan het Conservatorium van Amsterdam bij Naum Grubert. Ze volgde lessen en masterclasses bij pianisten zoals Willem Brons, Norma Fisher, Anna Fedorova, Boris Fedorov, Marianna Shirinyan en Jean-Claude Vanden Eynden. Biografie Daniils Čiričs: Daniils Čiričs is een 22-jarige Letse violist, woonachtig in Nederland. Hij is momenteel vierdejaars bachelorstudent aan het Conservatorium van Amsterdam onder leiding van professor Ilya Grubert en studeert aan de Davidsbündler Academy bij Daniel Rowland. Hij begon zijn muzikale opleiding aan de Emīls Dārziņš Muziekschool in Riga, Letland, gevolgd door studies aan het Gnessin College of Music in Moskou bij Alexey Lundin, waar hij in 2021 zijn diploma behaalde. Gedurende zijn carrière heeft Daniils opgetreden als solist en orkestmusicus in prominente zalen zoals het Concertgebouw, de Bernard Haitinkzaal, de Dzintari Hall, de Zaryadye Hall en het Pushkin Museum. Hij heeft deelgenomen aan prestigieuze festivals, waaronder het Summertime Festival (Jūrmala), het Stift Music Festival, het Classic-Con Brio Festival (Duitsland) en het Salacgrīvas Klassiek Muziekfestival (Letland). Als winnaar van meerdere internationale concoursen behaalde Daniils de eerste prijs op de Nationale Vioolwedstrijd (Riga, 2014) en de Saulius Sondeckis Internationale Competitie (Litouwen). Daarnaast won hij prijzen op de Kocian Internationale Vioolcompetitie (Tsjechië) en de Young Musician Competition (Estland). Hij volgde masterclasses bij gerenommeerde violisten zoals Julian Rachlin, Boris Garlitsky, Clémence de Forceville, Daniel Rowland en Rosanne Philippens. Daniils heeft samengewerkt met toonaangevende orkesten zoals het Lets Nationaal Symfonie Orkest (LNSO) en de Virtuosi van Moskou. Hij was ook betrokken bij belangrijke opnames, waaronder Daniel Rowlands album Max Richter: Four Seasons (2024) met Challenge Classics. Daarnaast speelde hij een rol in een documentaire getiteld Viss būs labi (Alles komt goed), geregisseerd door Stanislav Tokalov. Sinds zijn verhuizing naar Nederland in 2022 blijft Daniils zijn repertoire uitbreiden en erkenning verwerven. Hij heeft opgetreden in grote zalen zoals het Muziekgebouw en maakte deel uit van het orkest van de Cello Biënnale. Momenteel bespeelt hij een Giovanni Battista Gabrielli-viool (1757) en een Nicolas Maire-stok (1850), beide beschikbaar gesteld door de NMF (Nationaal Muziekinstrumenten Fonds). One of her notable projects, the Telescore Project, is a global collaborative art initiative that creates music from tree prints, symbolising the connection between humans and nature through live performances and video art.
