Join Medilink Midlands for an afternoon of networking with some of the region’s finest as we host our Summer Networking event. This year, we are set to enjoy the glorious lakeside location as we're hosting at Spring Lakes.
There will be summer themed food and drink to enjoy with networking. The event is a great opportunity for you to socialise with your colleagues, and make new connections within the Midlands med-tech and life science sector in a fun and laid-back environment.

Stand-Up Paddleboarding (2h) open group sessions on Stanley Ferry (Wakefield
)!
Have you ever wanted to paddle a SUP?
This is the perfect opportunity! Book a place for a paddleboarding open group session (up to 5 people in the group) with our instructor and experience the joy of being on the water.
You don't need any experience or your own equipment -
we provide everything!
Just come in comfortable clothes and ready to have fun. We welcome everyone to join us for an unforgettable adventure on the water. Sessions are designed for participants in age 16+.
Session duration:
2 hours 15 min (incl. 15 min briefing). *
Arrive 10 minutes before
the session starts.
Cost:
£21.50pp for 2 hours 15 min session (The current price is promotional and valid until 31 July 2025)

In the event of bad weather
, a session may be cancelled or rearranged. The decision will depend on the severity of the weather and its
potential impact on safety
and the ability to deliver the session effectively.
Depending on the circumstances, a refund or credit for a future session may be offered.
What you'll be doing:
- Meet and greet on the Fall Ings Lock
- We kit you out with your paddle, board, buoyancy aid and helmet
- Our land based briefing (approx. 15 minutes) includes:
*Paddleboards, their key features and accessories
*How to kneel paddle (forwards / backwards / turning)
*How to transition from kneeling to standing
*How to paddle correctly
*Safety on and off the water
- We will then carry our boards to the water, get in and practice.
- Once everybody is happy then we will start our trip, taking turns to practice transitioning from kneeling to standing (never rushing this bit, at your own pace) and have lots of fun getting to know each other as you learn a new skill!
- Learn how to safely exit the water, followed by your debriefing.
