In Art on the Farm camp we will combine our love of food and farm with our love of art while we explore artistic expression. Create a colorful edible piece of art with veggies harvested straight from the garden, try your hand at watercolor in the garden, learn how to turn kitchen scraps into art materials, make sun prints with farm flowers, use resources from nature to express your ideas, and much, much more! Healthy snacks are included. This camp will take place at our air-conditioned Art Garage located at 2201 E. Roger Rd.

Monsoon Farmers Camp is designed for your kid that loves to be on the farm and get their hands dirty! Campers will spend all morning out on the farm and learn from compost, to digging and planting how to grow veggies with the summer monsoon rains. Kids will help with chores on the farm from helping care for our worms, preparing garden beds for planting, planting our monsoon veggies, seed saving, and harvesting and enjoying some of our summer crops right from the field! Campers will be able to keep cool in our water play area in between the time they spend helping out on the farm! Delicious straight from the farm snacks will be provided. This is a great camp for young sibilings! This camp will take place at the "Big Farm" at 2201 E. Roger Rd where we grow over an acre of veggies and have lots of room to have fun and explore! Understanding the realities of tribal governance and the critical roles that leaders play in ensuring that their nations govern effectively are critical to Native nation (re)building and “strengthening Indigenous governance,” the mission of the Native Nation Institute (NNI) at the Udall Center for Studies in Public Policy at the University of Arizona.
New, prospective, and veteran leaders will receive practical knowledge and tools to help them meet the fundamental challenges of leadership, from developing the nation's political and legal infrastructures to mobilizing their constituents to play an active role in building a strong, sustainable nation. Specialized, intensive sessions on key governance topics will prepare seminar participants to begin the process of building their personal blueprints for leadership success.
Recognizing that there’s no formal training program for Indigenous leaders, the NNI is once again hosting an open executive education seminar featuring short lectures, case studies, and guest speakers providing practical advice/information to help prepare tribal leaders – and those who aspire to senior governmental positions – to assume the responsibilities of leadership to strengthen Indigenous governance.
