Seacourt Autumn Taster Sessions Tetra Pak printing | Seacourt Print Workshop
Oct 24, 2024 (UTC+0)ENDED
Bangor
Tetra Pak printing offers a hugely versatile introduction to Intaglio and Collagraph techniques whether you are a beginner or an experienced printmaker. Your plate (made from recycled juice, milk and soup cartons) is created by cutting, scoring and peeling the surface giving some fabulous effects when inked and wound through the press. You will learn how to prepare the plate, techniques for inking up and how to use our beautiful Rochat press to print your plate. The event will take place on Thu 24th October 2024 at 18:00 at our workshop located at 75 Main Street, Bangor, BT20 5AF. It's a great opportunity to meet other creatives and learn something new. What experience do I need? This course is suitable for the beginner, however people who have tried collograph printing before maybe be particularly interested. What will I make? Throughout the evening you will produce your own vignette, and print an edition of up to 4 prints. Perfect presents for a loved one! Y our Tutor Kim Ladd is an artist based in Bangor, and a member of Seacourt Print Workshop. She works across various mediums including printmaking and clay. She uses Tetra Pak collographs to document daily walks with her children. Find out more here! D o I need to bring anything? Basic materials including inks and printmaking paper will be provided. Please save up some cartons to bring along. Ones with a silver lining work best, however any Tetra Pak will work fine. Don't worry if you cant get your hands on any - we will have a small stock here. Wear something you don’t mind getting inky, or bring an apron - however there are some here to borrow too. No open toed shoes please! If I can't attend can I get a refund?
