Coaches are the backbone of our program, and we are dedicated to ensuring they have the support and education to be successful. The purpose of the NICA Coach License Program is to offer comprehensive training to coaches so that they are equipped to provide quality programming to student-athletes that meet national standards and best practices while developing strong mind, body, and character. On-the-Bike 101- Coaches will learn the progressive steps needed to teach both basic and advanced mountain biking skills, experiential teaching techniques, how to accommodate different learning styles and how to create a positive learning environment for young riders. Taught by NICA-certified skills trainers. Required for NICA coach license Level 2 and Level 3. This course will be completed in 2 phases: 1. Online via NICA Education (45min) Please complete the online OTB 101 Classroom course accessed through Pit Zone Access Coach Courses prior to taking this in-person training. If you are not a NICA coach yet, you can complete this training after you have a NICA Pit Zone account. 2. In-Person Field Class (3 hour outdoor course that includes a Field Guide) You must complete both to receive full credit for Level 2 or 3 Certification. Adam Tiller is a Standup Comedian, Podcaster, and Writer in Seattle, WA. He is a Semi-finalist in the 2022 Seattle International Comedy Competition. Adam performs across the U.S. and Canada at Comedy Clubs, Private Events, Corporate Events, Casinos, Fraternal Organizations, and Breweries. Adam is known for his strong writing and dark/ clever comedic sensibility. He has featured on the road for Comedians Dan Soder, Big Jay Oakerson, Dave Landau, and Brendan Schaub. Welcome to the Freedom Youth Foundation's event for foster, kinship and adopted youth and their siblings in the Treasure Valley! Our mission is to create a positive environment where local foster youth can grow their athletic and life skills, including communication, teamwork, and accountability.
