During the workshop, you will have the opportunity to work with glass in its molten state (2100F) in our hot shop or with colored and clear glass rods or tubes in our flame working studio. We use two types of glass, soda-lime-based glass, primarily for bead making, and borosilicate (pyrex), which allows for more complex sculptural and blown work. In addition to flame working, we also offer workshops in glass blowing and kiln forming. Whether you choose to shape glass using tools and air or fuse layers of glass together in an electric kiln, our experienced instructors will guide you through the process.
