He has headlined rooms all over New England and has been featured at such clubs as The Stand NYC, Improv Boston and the Comedy Studio. Dan recently released his self-produced, debut full-length special "Raw Truth”.
FEATURING: JULIA COLASANTI
Julia Colasanti has performed at Laugh Factory Chicago, Vermont Comedy Club, and comedy festivals throughout the country. She’s also opened for national headliners including Amy Miller, Jay Larson, and Yamaneika Saunders. Her pride and joy is her monthly themed comedy show live-streamed from Lincolns in Burlington where the crowd is known to hoot and holler as much as the comics.
FEATURING: TYLER HITTNER
Tyler Hittner, a Rhode Island comedian, has overcome obstacles, including viral meningitis, to pursue his passion for stand-up comedy. Despite relying on a walker, Tyler’s indomitable spirit and razor-sharp wit have made him a force to be reckoned with on the stand-up circuit since 2018. With relatable and hilariously honest observations, Tyler connects with audiences on a personal level, leaving them laughing, inspired, and hungry for more. His story showcases resilience and the triumph of the human spirit, breaking down barriers and inspiring others to embrace their unique journeys. Get ready for a hilarious ride with Tyler Hittner, redefining the boundaries of stand-up comedy one punchline at a time.
HOST: NIKOLAI LANE
Nikolai Lane is a local funnyman originally from North Yarmouth, Maine. A lover of natural sciences and home-cooked meals, Nikolai began attempting standup in 2024 after a short-lived stint in commercial beatboxing. Nikolai enjoys sharing zany hypotheticals, absurd one-liners, and jokes about rodents. He lives in Portland with his rat.

Dr. Ross Greene in conversation with Dr Nirav Shah | Freeport Performing Arts Center
May 29, 2025 (UTC-4)ENDED
Freeport
This is a free, ticketed event to benefit the Freeport High School Scholarship Foundation.
Multiple public health experts have raised the alarm recently that social media use is a main contributor to depression, anxiety and other problems in the nation's teenagers. Schools, teens and families alike are struggling to find a path through this minefield. Our experts, Dr Greene and Dr Shah, will discuss the problem and pathways toward addressing this critical national issue.
Dr Ross Greene is an American clinical child psychologist. The author of several books on child behavior—including
The Explosive Child, Lost at School, Lost & Found, and Raising Human Beings
—Greene originated the evidence-based Collaborative & Proactive Solutions (CPS) model of intervention. He is the founding director of the non-profit Lives in the Balance, and developed and executive produced the documentary film,
The Kids We Lose
. Greene received his undergraduate degree at the University of Florida and his Ph.D. in clinical psychology at Virginia Tech. His academic appointments include the Department of Psychology at Virginia Tech, the Faculty of Science at the University of Technology Sydney, Australia; and the Department of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School. He resides in Freeport.
Dr Nirav Shah was Maine CDC’s director during the COVID pandemic, and became the honest, direct and calming voice to the people of Maine as we navigated that storm. An epidemiologist, economist and attorney, he became the principal deputy director of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in 2023, and was acting director of that agency as well. Dr Shah recently announced that he will be returning to Maine to join the faculty of Colby College in the fall.
Lead Sponsor for this event are Gladys Cofrin and Dr. Dan Logan

Making Magical Lanterns with Kristine Biegel | Meetinghouse Arts
Jun 7, 2025 (UTC-4)ENDED
Freeport
Come create an indoor lantern designed to create a magical glow in any special space of the
home.
The project uses a variety of non toxic materials, including markers, oil pastels,
watercolors, ribbons, beads and feathers and is appropriate for most ages with the end result
being a unique, utilitarian work of glowing art. The project is designed for maximum success due
to the wide range of art making materials offered, but some fine motor skills are needed for a bit
of detailed work.
Kristine is a Maine artist inspired every day by the rich colors, textures and landscapes of all
things New England. For the past 20 years she could be found throughout New England in her
studio, The Creative Child and Adult Art Program, as well as her role as a visiting artist, creating
inclusive programming for artists of all abilities from preschool through memory care. More
recently her focus has been on her own work, with her whimsical paintings viewed in galleries,
homes and private institutions throughout New England.
This workshop is open to Grades 1-8.
NEW DATE: Making Magical Lanterns with Kristine Biegel will take place on
Saturday, June 7, 9:00-11:30 AM
