Yoga Cultural Experiences
Yoga Nidra & Sound Healing Great For Stress, Burnout, Sleep Deprivation, Emotional Overwhelm, Menopausal Or/ & Physical Pain. I suggest you don’t think of this as ‘Yoga’ because when one does, we usually think of distorting the body into all manner of shapes. Whereas in this, all you are going to do is lie down and receive. This is why this type of Yoga is indeed for everyone since it requires no movement, prior knowledge, physical strength or flexibility, which is why its name translates to ‘ The Yoga of Sleep ’, Dream and/ or the Psyche. If you have trouble sleeping? Are you suffering from stress or anxiety? Or chronic pain or suffering from an injury? & have you tried meditating to calm your mind, self-discovery, or general well-being? Have the desire to improve your memory? Or unleash your creative self or have a problem that needs resolving, but no ideas have come up yet? Then you will enjoy sleep yoga. What Are The Differences Between The Tickets Part 1 In part one, you will settle into the place and the event, and by the end, you'll have a good idea of what Yoga Nidra is, having just experienced it. As you teach, I deliberately design part one to give you a sense of release. Letting go of your woes with all your baggage. The benefit of letting go in this way is it frees you up to start over. Your mind is emptied, and your body is relaxed by purposely spending a lot of time on your body and its senses. Therefore, you will feel physically refreshed, aligned, centred and grounded by the end of part one. Part 2 Now it's time to build on that - you'll experience a one-of-a-kind creative healing work of art., whereby I take my personal life experience and the experience of working as a healing therapist and Yogini for over 25 years. I weave a theme based on a healing modality I'm trained in or a life experience into the Yoga Nidra science. This is what sets my work apart from others. The benefit of part two is getting the opportunity to heal the theme the Yoga Nidra is based on by embedding it into your body and mind (both conscious and subconscious), which is how it gives you effective results. Plus, you'll gain other benefits as a by-product of part 2, such as unleashing your creativity and problem-solving abilities and improving your concentration and memory. Benefits In 20 Minutes, this practice will give you the equivalent of 2 hours of sleep. So you will arise feeling refreshed, calm and balanced, with a new outlook. This element of detachment enables you to see things more clearly. Since the right and left hemispheres of your brain will meet, which is how fresh ideas and the ability to resolve challenges may come to mind. In Yoga Nidra, you’ll experience a state known as the witness self, whereby your awareness is suspended between the stages of dream and sleep. This is why you will feel like you have been; On a little holiday, in a restful state, a place away from your daily problems, while solving them. Had a massage Or been in a hydrotherapy/ flotation tank Each session consists of 20 minutes and a sound bath to enhance the theme of the Nidra (dream state), which is one of the reasons it’s called a soundscape. Plus, an opportunity to meet others and share the experience on your journey if you wish. When you come back, you are renewed, and your body is renewed on a cellular level. Many feel energised afterwards, yet grounded. Muscles soften, giving you the same results as a massage but lighter. Some would say it’s more profound because the effects of sound healing will transmit and vibrate within you, for days, with the ability to heal old wounds and change behavioural reaction patterns. Sound Healing In my repertoire, you will hear different sounds, such as singing bowls, percussion instruments, and the naked voice. These musical instruments will be used as sound effects to enhance the theme of the Nidra and to aid healing. Sound Healing is a growing phenomenon, you don’t have to believe in to receive its effects. Just sit back and enjoy! The Benefits of Yoga Nidra + Sound Healing Includes; Rejuvenates & rebalances your systems Relaxes your body Unleashes your creativity Clears your mind Ignites deep healing Inspires personal growth Emotional healing Reduces physical pain Your nervous system Releases energetic blocks Increases your concentration And much more. My Work My Yoga Nidras are rarely abstract. I tend to be inspired by the calendar year we live by, seasons, festive holidays, healing techniques, and the lives of others I meet as a health practitioner. Hence, you will experience a movement of mental lucidity between a dream/ sleep state of awareness. Type Of Tickets Available I run two sessions, back to back. They are different yet related. So the first may act as an entry point to session two, either by the theme or because it focuses more on relaxing the body. Once the body has been looked after, we can address other parts of the ‘self’. How To Enter & Leave Suppose you've chosen to attend the first session only. Arrive 15 minutes before the start of the event. So you can make your nest and settle into your environment. Please neatly leave any items you’ve borrowed in a pile when you leave. Whereas, attendees of the second session should arrive promptly on time, as stated on the ticket, because the doorbell is loud, and there may not be anyone present to let you in until the first hour has passed. If you intend on joining the group for the 2nd session ONLY, please wait quietly outside the room or the centre. I will let you in when it is time. Do not talk as you enter the room to avoid disturbing others transitioning back to a wakeful state. Equipment This is a fully equipped venue, but for your emotional comfort, I previously welcomed people to bring things of their own during the pandemic; some may still wish to. Items like a Yoga or camping mat, or a single sheet. So you can place it on top of the cushioned mats or underneath them so they don't slip and side. Although you can use ours here at the centre. I do recommend you bring a blanket and pillow of your own. Alternatively, you can use all our blankets, we have enough, and our meditation cushions. The more comfortable you are, the deeper your experience will be. Tickets There is always an early bird ticket option, so I recommend you purchase yours after each event, especially with the rising living costs. Due to this, you will see that my ticket sales now end one week before the event's start date. This is due to me needing to give the premises I hire a week's cancellation notice. If I have sold tickets BEFORE this date, the event will go ahead as planned, and I will extend the ticket closing date to the start of the event's start time. If you have any queries about this, reach out to me on Facebook Messenger: https://www.facebook.com/dionne.roberts.the.sleep.whisperer Caution Please arrive on time so you may be admitted without a problem. Some Nidras can induce out-of-body sensations. So, if you suffer from a mental health condition of dissociation, Yoga Nidra is not recommended because of the out-of-body experience.. Transport Please check parking restrictions before leaving your vehicle, and be mindful not to block anyone. Refunds policy Refunds or transfers are available upon request. Cultural Experiences
Before ever becoming Britain’s most notorious Fascist politician, Oswald Mosley was a charismatic force in Birmingham, leading the Labour Party’s struggle to break the iron grip of the Chamberlains and their Conservative adherents. That it succeeded by 1929 was largely due to Mosley’s commitment, his money, his energy and his charm. Within years he had fallen out of love with the Labour leadership, blaming their stolid, unimaginative approach to unemployment; deserting his Smethwick supporters he set out to create a New Party and by 1931 Birmingham Labour voters reviled him and he was violently driven from the city.
