STAR Summer Camp is offering an exciting and educational program called Survivor & STEM for campers in grades 5-8. This unique camp takes place at the STAR Centre in Havre de Grace, Maryland, where campers will be placed in an isolated location to compete in a thrilling survival challenge. During the week-long camp from July 15 to July 19, campers will be divided into tribes and will compete for rewards and immunity from point elimination. Instead of being "voted off," tribes will lose points during Tribal Council, where each tribe votes for another tribe to lose 10 points. The tribe with the most votes will suffer the deduction. Throughout the week, campers will learn valuable skills such as fire-making, building shelters, and creating solar ovens. They will also engage in exciting experiments and outdoor challenges that test their physical abilities, including obstacle courses. Mental abilities will be put to the test with puzzles and other fun games. It is important to note that this camp promotes good sportsmanship, and any camper displaying poor sportsmanship will result in point deductions for their tribe.
