Theater
Join Cosmic Fishing Theatre as our first explorers of theatre and performance for very young children (ages 0-8), with a first-ever professional series of its kind, specially dedicated to growing intercultural and intergenerational audiences in the Waterloo Region. Come and explore the performance project Tricoter Bébé (from Vancouver) at the Kitchener-Waterloo Little Theatre in Waterloo on March 27 at 10:00 am and share a special moment with your little one in a world filled with play, exploration and discovery. Tricoter Bébé re-creates the spirit of a knitting circle. The dance winds and unwinds through and around the public who are arranged in the round. Yarn is integrated into the choreography and weaves an architecture that links public and place to the dancer. While dancing, the yarn gets tangled in a large knot of bright colours, and we remember those who have knitted for us in our own family. We experience Tricoter (Tree-Ko-Tay) through play, curiosity, and exploration of belonging to a community. Tricoter Bébé or Knitting in English, is a delightful mix of colours, movement, sounds and texture that captures the imagination of babies. The performance is followed by a stay and play activity for the whole family.
