The Can Am Classic Combine will be from 6:30 to 8 p. and the Video Recording/Player Information Packet will be sent to EVERY college volleyball program in Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois and Wisconsin! The Player's name will be on a registered list, and at Combine check in, each player will be given a bib #, so college coaches can easily match player and contact information - Seniors will noted for quick identification for college coaches. Players should wear normal volleyball practice gear (no need to wear uniforms or shirts with a number on them). Volleyball players will be divided by position and graduation year to allow attending college coaches to efficiently evaluate them. Each court will have a "court coach", to allow players to showcase their skills sets to the college coaches. During the series of guided walks on five Saturdays in April and May (all covered by one fee), participants will become familiar with the habitat, location and structure of the nests made by different species, as well as the role of females and males in nesting and in the care of the young. Based on previous course outcomes, participants should expect to be able to observe about 15 different species actively engaged in nesting-related behavior. This course is designed to be most fully enjoyed when paired with the ability to identify common songbird species of Southeast Michigan. The field course is scheduled on the following dates, all Saturdays, from 8:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.: April 26 May 3 May 10 May 17 May 24 (Break for Memorial Day Weekday) May 31 Eliza Howell Park is a 250 acre city of Detroit park, the fourth largest in Detroit. It is considered a gem for its biological diversity. The Upper Branch and the Main Branch of the Rouge River converge in the park. We will mostly be on a gravel trail, walking about 1 1/2 miles. He is the recipient of a Guggenheim Fellowship, the Virginia A Groot Foundation Award, a Joan Mitchell Foundation MFA Grant as well as a Southeastern College Art Conference Individual Artist Fellowship. His sculptural work has been exhibited internationally at venues including Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, The European Cultural Centre, The Hunter Museum of American Art, The MIT Museum, The Wichita Art Museum, The Mariana Kistler Beach Museum of Art, The Huntsville Museum of Art, The Masur Museum, The Gadsden Museum of Art, Jonathan Ferrara Gallery, Brenda Taylor Gallery, The Vero Beach Museum of Art and Cue Art Foundation.
