Verdi's last opera, Falstaff, completed in 1893, is based on the fictional character Falstaff in Shakespeare's plays The Merry Wives of Windsor and Henry IV, and uses fast and complex rhythms to express the dialogues of the characters. Through the wonderful arrangement of director Jonathan Miller, music and comedy are perfectly integrated; the scenery, props and costumes of the whole play are shipped to Taiwan from the New National Theater in Tokyo. Conducted by the National Symphony Orchestra's music director Jun Mackoll, outstanding vocalists from home and abroad and the National Symphony Orchestra (NSO) will compose an opera feast together.

Since 2020, the Taiwan Science Festival has launched more than 100 kinds and nearly 1,000 scientific activities each year. All activities are oriented towards the "17 Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations", showing the importance and contribution of science to achieving sustainable development, and promoting popular science education through diversified innovation and entertaining ways to stimulate the interest of the whole people in scientific exploration. The fifth Taiwan Science Festival is themed "Trust in Science and Move Forward to Sustainability".
