Step into the magical world of Saint-Saëns ‘Carnival of the Animals’ in this fun and lively piano duet concert, where music brings animals to life. In this special performance, you’ll meet a whole bunch of animals - some fast, some slow, and all full of character! In this concert, we’ll explore five wonderful movements from Saint-Saëns famous suite: ‘The Tortoises’ - The music here is slow and steady, just like a tortoise taking its time. The piano will create a charming and humorous scene as the tortoises shuffle along at their own pace. Listen out for the ‘Can-can’ melody which Saint-Saëns uses at a very slow pace depicting the slow but persistent tortoise. ‘The Elephant’ - Next, we’ll meet a giant elephant, with its heavy footsteps and slow, lumbering walk. The piano duet will play a deep, low tune that is both grand and a little funny, capturing the elephant’s playful, oversized presence. ‘The Aquarium’ - Dive into an underwater world where the music sparkles like water! With flowing melodies and gentle rhythms, you’ll feel like you’re swimming among colorful fish and magical sea creatures, as the piano mimic the sounds of water moving. ‘The Cuckoo in the Woods’ - In this movement, the sound of the cuckoo bird rings out through the peaceful forest. The pianos create a soft, playful melody that mimics the bird’s distinctive call. You’ll feel like you’re quietly wandering through the woods, with the cuckoo’s song echoing from the trees, adding a sense of calm and stillness to the air. ‘The Swan’ - Finally, we’ll glide gracefully across a serene lake with the elegant Swan. The music here is smooth and flowing, just like the swan’s beautiful movements on the water, leaving everyone with a sense of calm and beauty. Join us for a delightful concert where music and animals come together in a magical interactive performance that’s perfect for kids and families alike. It’s sure to be an exciting and imaginative experience you won’t forget! Information Source: Semibreve CIC | eventbrite
