Murder Mystery Night - In aid of University Hospitals Birmingham Charity | West Midlands Police Museum

Cultural Experiences
Who did it? How did it happen? What was the motive? Following the success of my previous immersive ‘Murder Mystery Nights', another fun night is planned at the West Midlands Police Museum / The Victorian Lock-Up. The lock-up was operational until 2016 (before it became the museum) and is a great venue for this event. It promises to be an entertaining evening. You can come on your own or as a group, bring your partner, friends, family members or work colleagues (over 18's only). Teams of four to six people will be created on the night. This is your opportunity to become a detective for a night. This is more of a social night out than a business event. There's been a murder and I need your help to conduct the investigation. You will need to look at the evidence, follow the clues, and interrogate the suspects in their cells, as you attempt to get to the bottom of what happened. You will try and work out who, what, how, and perhaps most chillingly of all, why the murder occured. All profits from the evening will be donated to University Hospitals Birmingham Charity. Tickets cost £26 + Booking Fee The event is 6.15pm for a 6.30pm start and will finish at 9pm. Snacks will be provided and a cash bar will be available throughout the event. There will also be a prize draw on the night with some great prizes. Information Source: Henrik Court Events Management Limited | eventbrite

WMFN Annual Conference 2025 | Friday 20 June 9.30am - 4.00pm | STEAMHouse, Birmingham How AI, data, and digital tools can help funders and civil society organisations achieve greater impact. Join us on June 20th to learn how AI, data, and digital tools can empower funders and civil society organisations for greater social impact Across the West Midlands and beyond, funders and civil society leaders are being asked to do more —with limited resources, greater transparency, accountability, and impact. At the same time, the world around us is being reshaped by digital technologies, data, and artificial intelligence. The 2025 West Midlands Funders Network Annual Conference brings these worlds together. Whether you’re a grantmaker, public agency, philanthropy professional, civil society organisation, this event offers a practical, shared space to explore what digital change means for your mission and operations—and how these tools can help you support communities more effectively. You don’t need to be a tech expert. This day is designed for funders and third sector organisations that are curious, cautious, or just starting to explore the possibilities. Together, we’ll unpack how AI is already being used in grantmaking, reporting, communications, research, and service delivery. You’ll hear directly from peers and practitioners, see live demos, and take part in hands-on sessions. Above all, we’ll reflect critically and constructively on the role of technology in shaping the future of civil society—and how we make sure it remains ethical, inclusive, and human. Join us to connect, learn, and lead the conversation on what comes next. With support from event partners including Charity Bank , Lloyds Bank Foundation , Rathbones , and STEAMHouse , and contributions from organisations such as CAST , Good Things Foundation , PLINTH and Citizen Click , this is set to be a landmark event for funders across the region. Our Full Event Programme will be announced shortly. *Early Bird Tickets have been extende and are available until 22nd May 2025 at 5pm* Information Source: West Midlands Funders Network | eventbrite

Summer Solstice Gig | Centrala

Celebration
Summer Solstice GIG Against Racism As the sun reaches its highest point and we welcome the longest day of the year, we invite you to join us at Centrala for an evening of joy, rhythm, and unity . This celebration is a part of a wider project funded by the Community Rescue Fund from Birmingham City Council. It was developed in response to the racist riots that shook our city during the summer of 2024. In the wake of those events, many migrant and refugee communities in Birmingham experienced fear, isolation, and tension. This gathering is our collective response — a vibrant, uplifting space where we come together to celebrate our shared humanity, resist division, and honour the strength of our diverse communities. We’ll kick off the evening from 6.30pm !!! You can expect thr powerful energy of Oya Batucada samba band, followed by the soulful melodies of Zirak Hamad’s Kurdish band and the experimental sounds of Retinal Circus. DJ Igor Carmo will keep the rhythm flowing between each set and close the night with an unforgettable dance set full of warmth and celebration. Let’s mark the Summer Solstice with music, movement, and solidarity . Join us to stand together, dance together, and celebrate the beauty of our differences in a space that welcomes all. Funded by Birmingham City Council. Information Source: Centrala Events | eventbrite
