Murder Mystery Night - In aid of University Hospitals Birmingham Charity | West Midlands Police Museum

Jun 19, 2025 (UTC+1)
Birmingham
Cultural Experiences
Who did it? How did it happen? What was the motive? Following the success of my previous immersive ‘Murder Mystery Nights', another fun night is planned at the West Midlands Police Museum / The Victorian Lock-Up. The lock-up was operational until 2016 (before it became the museum) and is a great venue for this event. It promises to be an entertaining evening. You can come on your own or as a group, bring your partner, friends, family members or work colleagues (over 18's only). Teams of four to six people will be created on the night. This is your opportunity to become a detective for a night. This is more of a social night out than a business event. There's been a murder and I need your help to conduct the investigation. You will need to look at the evidence, follow the clues, and interrogate the suspects in their cells, as you attempt to get to the bottom of what happened. You will try and work out who, what, how, and perhaps most chillingly of all, why the murder occured. All profits from the evening will be donated to University Hospitals Birmingham Charity. Tickets cost £26 + Booking Fee The event is 6.15pm for a 6.30pm start and will finish at 9pm. Snacks will be provided and a cash bar will be available throughout the event. There will also be a prize draw on the night with some great prizes. Information Source: Henrik Court Events Management Limited | eventbrite

History of Lench's Trust | Birmingham & Midland Institute

Jun 30, 2025 (UTC+1)
Birmingham
Cultural Experiences
Lench’s Trust is a remarkable and positive symbol of continuity in a city of seemingly perpetual transformation. In 1525 in Tudor Birmingham, the wealthy and childless William Lenche decided that the income from his estates should be distributed in “warke of charyte”. Since then, generations of Trustees and officials have carried out his wishes diligently, faithfully, and thoughtfully. Originally acting as an important aspect of local government through repairing roads and bridges, they gradually became more active in the provision of almshouses for those in need, and now Lench’s Trust provides a host of later living services for people living in Birmingham. Five hundred years on and having successfully adapted to changing needs, Lench’s Trust continues its valuable charitable work in Birmingham. Professor Carl Chinn and Lenchs Trust Chief Executive will take us through the remarkable history of Birmingham’s Oldest Chairty Information Source: The Birmingham & Midland Institute | eventbrite
