A Direct Care Worker (DCW) provides non-medical services such as personal care (hygiene, grooming and helping with elimination needs), light housekeeping, nutrition assistance, and physical support and assistance as necessary.
The Direct Care Worker class includes classroom lecture and skills lab training. Successfully completing our State-Approved Training and Testing Program qualifies you to become a DCW in as little as three days!
In accordance with CDC guidelines, masking at PCOA facilities is optional for staff, volunteers, and members of the public. CDC recommends people at high risk of serious illness from COVID 19 discuss when they should wear masks and other precautions with their healthcare provider. PCOA representatives will gladly put on a mask at your request. Participants at in-person event(s) will be expected to adhere to distancing and safety guidelines as provided. Guidelines for functions held in community sites not operated by PCOA may vary.

Sprouts Camp is the perfect camp for exposing your little one to science, gardening, environmental stewardship, and healthy eating, all through fun farm activities! Campers will spend the morning hours exploring the farm and helping us with daily farm chores, like harvesting, planting, feeding the chickens, and checking on the worms. Campers will be able to relax under our shaded red ramada to prepare healthy snacks with veggies from our own gardens and for doing farm arts and crafts. This camp will take place at Tucson Village Farm's “Little” Farm located at 4210 N. Campbell Ave.

Time: 8:00am -11:00am
Session I: May 27 - 30 (4 days, Monday is Memorial Day holiday); Cost: $225
Session II : June 2 - 6 (5 days); Cost: $250
*Each session teaches the same curriculum, so we discourage students from enrolling in more than one session of the same camp.
*When you are registering please enter the camper's name with the parent/gaurdian information
*Refund Policy: Full refund 30 days before camp start date; 50% refund up to 14 days before camp start date; no refunds thereafter.
