Rokia Koné + Mohamed Errebbaa19:00 Doors19:30 Mohamed Errebbaa (40min)20:10 Interval (20min)20:30 Rokia Koné (70min)21:40 EndsOne of Mali’s most beloved and dynamic artists, Rokia Koné is a force to be reckoned with. She has a voice that soars – pure, clear and true — above infectious Mande guitar grooves and traditional percussion, and her captivating performances run the gamut of emotion from joy to despair, fury to tenderness, wielding that astounding voice with grace and power. Born and raised in Ségou, the cradle of the ancient Bamana kingdom, Rokia draws on a rich tradition of griot storytelling and has a deep connection with her Malian ancestry. Her unique abilities in melodic improvisation, honed over years of late-night residencies in the legendary music clubs of Bamako, have earned her a place as one of West Africa’s most exciting vocalists. In 2017 she joined the all-female music collective Les Amazones d’Afrique, who use music as a vehicle to campaign for gender equality in Africa. Following the release of her widely-lauded debut album BAMANAN in collaboration with rock producer Jacknife Lee (U2, R.E.M., Taylor Swift) which brought her two All Africa Music Award nominations and The New York Times Critic’s Pick, now Rokia is putting her gritty, soaring, griot-infused vocals to Malian guitar and a West African percussive pulse. It’s the sound of an emerging legend replenishing her roots. Mohamed Errebbaa was born in Rabat, Morocco. He is a musician and master in the Gnawa world. Mohamed spent a decade traveling throughout Morocco, studying the diverse regional musical traditions under some of the leading musicians in the country. In southern Morocco, he studied Issawa and Deqqa folkloric percussion, developing a particular passion for the three-stringed Gnawa bass lute, the Guembri, before launching his international career. Receptive to the fusion of musical genres, Mohamed has collaborated with many leading international artists. He has worked and performed with artists such as Trevy Felix, Nelly Stharre, Antonia Vai, Hamid Bouchnak, Martin Signeur, and Justin Adams, mixing traditional African music with the sounds of the wider world. Painting
Bath Bodyart Weekend is a three day mini festival for those who like a bit of sparkle in their lives! Ever fancied trying your hand at henna, face or body painting or glitter art? How about gem clusters, festival hair or prop making? Would you like to walk the catwalk, bringing original artwork to life? Or just sit by the fire, enjoy some live music, while the kids fly kites and learn to juggle? Come and let our artists decorate you with all things colourful and sparkly!  This is a relaxed, family friendly, mini festival for all things bodyart related. Held in a beautiful corner of the Somerset countryside, within walking distance of the historical city of Bath, this is an opportunity for those with an interest in body art, in any of its many forms, to gather with like minded creatives and indulge their passion, without the premium price tag that usually comes attached. Family friendly with live music, entertainment, retailers and stalls, competitions and workshops. Learn a new skill with the opportunity to browse niche professional products, usually only available on line. Although primarily a body art event, encompassing everything from facepainting, glitter and festival makeup through to henna and full bodypainting, this friendly gathering is as much for the complete newcomer as it is for the  experienced professional. We go out of our way to make sure that kids and families are well catered for because this allows the adults to relax. It is very difficult to get the creative juices flowing with bored children demanding attention so we see facilities like a free bouncy castle and circus skills workshops as an essential part, every bit as important as the paint and the glitter! Unless otherwise stated, all tickets include camping and KIDS GO FREE! This year's competition theme will be announced shortly Information Source: Bath Bodyart Weekend | eventbrite

Welcome to Glass House at The Mission Theatre Bath! This is the debut performance of Sandcastles Productions, a student-led theatre company founded in Bath and run by young people attending university in Cambridge, Edinburgh, Glasgow and Durham. Glass House, the company's first original production, will be performed at the 2025 Edinburgh Fringe festival - but will be kicking off its Summer run in Bath for a one-night-only showing! 'Glass House' is a one act Drama which explores the ever-present, grimy underbelly of the human beast with an unwavering intimacy. A boundary-pushing piece of mocku-theatre, the play is interspliced with pre-recorded interviews with the 'real-life' inspirations for the on-stage characters as they tell their renditions of what happened on the supposedly historic night of February 14th , 2011- whereupon the longest recorded stop at a bus shelter in British transport history took place. The play uncovers how, on a night of unrelenting rain and flooding in the English countryside, a standoff between a bus driver clinging to the rules and a houseless man who can't afford a ticket inexorably leads into a mire of tension and social conflict.
