A professor at the University of Texas School of Law, she is widely known for her work on the intersection of reproductive healthcare and religious freedom, as well as the rights of women and marginalized communities in accessing public services and businesses. Her research sheds light on how laws and policies impact everyday rights—especially when it comes to healthcare, education, and public accommodations. Her scholarship has been featured in top legal journals like the Yale Law Journal and Harvard Journal of Gender & Law , and she co-edited the book Law, Religion, and Health in the United States . Professor Sepper has practiced human rights law with a focus on women’s rights and has held prestigious academic fellowships, including at Princeton University.
