Identifying and Exploring Gaps in Health Care Delivery in Nova Scotia | Halifax Central Library
Jun 16, 2025 (UTC-3)ENDED
Halifax
Do you have thoughts on gaps in healthcare delivery in Nova Scotia?
We want to hear from you.
We’ve partnered with
ADDING HEAT
, a project of the
Health Equity Research Lab
at Dalhousie University with support from CIHR and Research NS.
ADDING HEAT (AD[D]
vanc
ING
HEA
lth equi
T
y) is all about making the health care system meet
our
needs better.
ADDING HEAT is learning about the gaps by gathering information through
surveys
and interviews, and listening to the diverse voices within communities. This evidence will be used to influence policy and promote an increased awareness of how healthcare needs to be delivered in Nova Scotia, and ultimately make the health care system better for us!
Help ensure that what we’ve heard reflect
your experiences
and the needs of our community, and what we can do about it.
Together we will:
Review evidence that exposes systemic issues affecting healthcare access and quality.
Make recommendations on how the current system works so it addresses the health needs of people living in Nova Scotia more effectively and efficiently.
Discuss how we (Eating Disorders NS) can use the results to promote changes in the health care system.
We especially want to hear from folks who belong to groups that are underserved by the current system because we believe that members of these groups can tell us the most about what needs to change in the health system.
Registration is required.
An honorarium will be provided in recognition of your time and expertise.
Open to anyone living in Nova Scotia.
Prefer to connect via Zoom? You can register for the virtual session on June 12th
