Bios Matt Gower has been involved in the Ottawa music community for over two decades. His songwriting incorporates folk, alt-country and old-time music weaved between timeless lyrics and dynamic vocals. Eight years ago, Berit Erickson began adding native plants to her yard. At first, she had trouble finding early spring bloomers. She eventually figured out that trees, shrubs, and woodland flowers are the primary food sources for early pollinators. So, she planted shrubby hedgerows around her yard and added spring ephemerals to the existing shade gardens. She recently created a backyard mini forest to add even more spring blooms. See the succession of blooms and the pollinators visiting them, and find out how you can support spring bees in your yard. Dear Valued PRC Parent, As you know, the Parent Resource Centre (PRC) is dedicated to supporting families in Ottawa by providing valuable resources, programs, and services. As a parent who has experienced our services firsthand, we believe your input is essential in shaping the future of the Parent Resource Centre. We invite you to join one of our upcoming Focus Groups taking place in May where you can share your valuable insights on our programs and services, community engagement, and how we can better address the needs and challenges faced by parents in Ottawa. Our Focus Groups are an important part of our ongoing efforts to engage with our community, listen to your feedback, and continuously improve our offerings. Your input plays a vital role in ensuring that we can address the unique needs and challenges faced by local parents and families throughout their parenting journey. Focus Group Details: Date & Time Options (Choose one): Friday May 23rd 11:15am (Child minding available*) Saturday May 24th 11:45am (Child minding available*) Tuesday May 27th 6pm (Virtual Online) Thursday May 29th 6pm (Virtual Online) Location: 300 Goulburn Crescent Who Should Attend: Parents/Caregivers of children 0-18 Duration: Approximately 90 minutes Child Minding Availability*: Child minding will be available onsite at 300 Goulburn Crescent during the in-person dates as noted above, and will take place in the PRC’s EarlyON playroom, supervised by Registered Early Childhood Educators. To thank you for your time, you'll receive a $20 gift card and an entry into a draw for one of several exciting prizes.
