The ASIST workshop emphasizes suicide first-aid. It provides information on how to help a person at risk to stay safe and seek further help. During this 2-day workshop you will learn how to: Recognize invitations for help Reach out and offer support Review the risk of suicide Apply a suicide intervention model Link people with community resources Applied Suicide Intervention Training is held over 2 consecutive days. In this two-night course you will learn everything you need to be able to complete a beautiful glass suncatcher. No experience is required; you will be taught everything from cuttout out a pattern, the basics of cutting and grinding glass, foiling, soldering, and polishing.
