The tour will bring you inside the chambers of the world's largest pipe organ where you will get to see how this amazing marvel of technology was built and how it is being restored back to its original glory! We are excited to introduce Books on the Move, the NJPAC Community Engagement Department’s highly popular initiative led by renowned educator and artist Wincey Terry. This program celebrates artists of color through interactive and performative readings of picture books about musical and artistic icons, combining literacy with movement, art, and spoken word. Books on the Move currently engages children in Essex, Hudson, Passaic and Union counties and due to its success, now Atlantic City. We will provide 20 workshops for second graders in Atlantic City elementary schools (10 in June and 10 beginning in October 2025 – not open to the public), and a public student performance on June 14, 2025 at St. James AME Church, on the children’s book, Alvin Ailey by Andrea Davis Pinkney, illustrated by Brian Pinkney, where families and friends can enjoy the students’ creative achievements and inquire about the forthcoming programming.
