Bee's Knees Day | 495 Forest Avenue, Portland, ME, USA
Jun 20, 2025 (UTC-4)ENDED
Portland
WHAT IS BEE'S KNEES WEEK?
Bee’s Knees Week is Barr Hill's annual celebration that brings together bartenders, cocktail lovers, and land stewards from coast to coast. Together, we raise a glass to the Bee’s Knees cocktail while supporting the hardworking pollinators that keep our fields blooming and our tables full.
Since 2017, this grassroots effort has helped plant over 1 million square feet of pollinator habitat—and we’re just getting started.
Proudly part of the 1% for the Planet network, Bee’s Knees Week ensures every dollar raised goes straight to trusted nonprofit partners working to protect pollinators and nourish the communities that depend on them.
We are celebrating with our friends at barr hill with a cocktail class! We'll be teaching and sipping 3 cocktails; a classic Gin & Tonic, a Tom Cat Old Fashioned, and of course a Bee's Knee. Along with tastings of the same raw honey Barr Hill uses to craft their gins and vodka and possibly a celebrity appearence by the Bees themselves!

ABOUT
So, why should you join a photo critique session?
Participating in photo critiques offers us photographers valuable feedback from peers and helps us identify strengths and areas for improvement in our work.
Constructive criticism refines technical skills, enhances composition, and nurtures artistic vision. Critiques foster a sense of community, encouraging and inspiring creativity by exposing photographers to diverse styles and techniques. Engaging in these discussions boosts confidence, validates strong points, and motivates continuous self-improvement. Overall, photo critiques serve as a powerful tool for skill development, artistic enhancement, and building a supportive network within the photography community.
For this meetup we'll gather at either the Pro Photo Supply Event Center on 18th and Northrup or a local coffee shop where we'll have coffee and some light bites while we pass around each attendee's photograph - one at a time - and hold a discussion focused on feedback, positive critiques, and questions about each person's work.
