This is an untimed, fun run. All levels of walkers, runners, rollers, and strollers are welcome.
This is an open course, meaning roads will NOT be closed. You are responsible for obeying all traffic laws and regulations.
We create each route to start and end at the brewery and to show off the surrounding neighborhood. The course will be marked with arrows and volunteers; we provide a digital map to help you know where to go.
You must bring a valid ID or driver's license. You do not need to be 21 to enjoy the event, but you must be 21 to enjoy the beer. Please drink responsibly. Registered, underage participants will receive a token for a FREE non-alcoholic beverage.
Our events are rain or shine! If conditions become unsafe to run, we will still hang out and drink beer.
There will not be a bag check; please plan accordingly and dress appropriately for the weather.
Dogs and strollers are welcome on the course with care and caution. Please remember - you are running at your own risk on city sidewalks/streets/trails, which might not be suitable for your 4-legged and /or pint-size running buddies. You will also want to check with the brewery to make sure you can abide by their dog / underage policies. Please make the best decision possible for your crew.

Woodworking Project: Bandsaw Box | 105 St James St

Learn basic woodworking techniques and safety skills to make your own bandsaw boxes, which can be made in a variety of sizes, and more importantly, different shapes. Chuck Devine
is a furniture maker and carver, holding certificates in Furniture Making and Architectural Millwork & Cabinetmaking from Palomar Community College in San Marcos, California. He offers woodworking instruction to individuals and groups ranging from teaching the basics of setting up a shop, to solving individual project problems, to navigating advanced designs. He has broad experience using a multitude of hand tools and power tools and has instructed in a variety of subjects. Chuck was Factory 3’s first class instructor when we opened in 2019, and previously taught woodworking for Central Oregon Community College from 2007 to 2015, at Open Bench Project, and privately.

I'm Lauren Seeley, a Death and a Grief Doula, Death Worker, Creative Grief Workshop facilitator, and I work in a boutique funeral home in Brooklyn, NY.
Join us at the Memento Mori Cafe and enjoy delicious coffee and treats as we explore our own mortality in a safe held space, surrounded by others interested in this deep reflection as well.
If you died today, what would you want put on your altar to represent who you were and what held the most meaning in your life? What brought you joy? What did you hold dear? Explore this sacred work in a space where others come to discuss and contemplate their mortality in the form of creative self reflection and expression.
What you'll learn:
Why do we use altars? History and common places of altars. What items would you include to construct your memorial altar after your time here is through? What elements would bring comfort to your loved ones and make them feel your presence?
What you'll take away from this workshop:
Deeper reflection of what creates the essence of "you." A knowledge of how creating living altars and memorial altars can bring comfort and peace to your loved ones and yourself. A work packet with info from the workshop where you may list and draw your own altar and items, which can serve as an aide in planning your own end of life.

Ronald Yoshimoto, M.Ed, M.S.W., Fellow of AOGPE
Ronald Yoshimoto has been in the field of education and dyslexia for over 40 years as a general and special education teacher in the public schools and private schools, a principal, educational diagnostician, social worker, counselor, teacher trainer and consultant. He was principal of a private school for dyslexics and gifted children for 18 years and has been training teachers in OG Basic, OG advanced. oG preschool, OG ELL and Multisensory Math for over 20 years and has created thousands of materials for teachers. After leaving the private school, he worked for the state of Hawaii department of education as a special education teacher and trainer. He has also founded an OG therapy Centre in Singapore and an organization based in Denver where they train and certify teachers in dyslexia, reading and OG. Special emphasis is public school teachers where he has modified OG for small group and whole classroom instruction. He also founded and is director of the Dyslexia and OG Institute of Hawaii. Ron has also been president of the Hawaii Branch of IDA and Vice-president of the Academy of Orton-Gillingham Practitioners and Educators. He has personal experience with dyslexia- his brother was dyslexic and he vowed that no child should endure the problems that his brother did in school

Welcome to the 2025 Indigenous Agroforestry Network Gathering: Partnership Workshops!
Join us to learn, network, and celebrate Indigenous agroforestry practices.
We are pleased to welcome agrofrestry practitioners and supporteres from across the region to join us for this hybrid event will be held at The Redd in Portland, Oregon August 13-14. Attendees will learn more about our region’s seasonal gathering and land tending cycles, agroforestry systems and practices, hear from tribal and Indigenous partners examples of Indigenous stewardship and agroforestry, network with participants and agroforestry program and service providers.
