Join Black Women of Evanston for our Evanston en Blanc event—an enchanting evening dedicated to uniting our community and celebrating the end of summer. Located in the heart of downtown Evanston, this event aims to foster a sense of unity and joy as we come together in an all-white setting. It is an opportunity for friends, neighbors, and fellow residents to unite, share joy, make lasting memories, and bid farewell to summer in style. Although this event is hosted by BWoE, we welcome and encourage all races and genders 21 and older to attend. The event will be held in the plaza south of Davis Street and on the street east of the plaza (Sherman Ave), featuring long communal tables and chairs provided for use. Guests are welcome to bring a homemade meal or order takeout from local restaurants to enjoy with a cocktail, wine, or beer from our pop-up bar. Music by DJ Johnny Price and DJ JT Nance will be provided throughout the evening for your entertainment. While guests must bring their own food, a lcohol is not allowed unless purchased from the pop-up bar . All attendees are responsible for disposing of their trash and packing up their belongings at the event's conclusion. This is a fundraising event. EVENT GUIDELINES Dress Code The dress code for Evanston en Blanc is elegant and all-white attire. Please ensure that your outfit adheres to this requirement. A best dressed King and Queen will be crowned. Avoid wearing any logos, patterns, or colored accessories that do not conform to the all-white theme. Table Setting While tables and chairs will be available for use, each guest is responsible for bringing their white tablecloth, dinnerware, and glassware. Tablecloths should measure 120" long by 60" wide (tables are 8 ft long). Be creative with your table decorations while keeping them elegant and within the all-white theme. Candles, open flames, confetti and marbles are not permitted. Flameless LED candles are ok. Picnic Basket Guests are encouraged to bring their own picnic basket filled with delicious food and non-alcoholic beverages or purchase dinners from nearby restaurants (we will provide a list of restuarants with discount codes closer to the date.) Table service and catered meals are not provided, so plan your menu accordingly. Remember to bring enough food and drinks to last throughout the event. Location and Meeting Point The Evanston en Blanc location will be held at the Fountain Square area on the triangle plaza south and on Sherman Avenue south of Davis Street. The Texas Area Association of Reformed Baptist Churches (TAARBC) is excited to sponsor the 7th Annual TAARBC Pastors’ Conference on September 9-10 , 2025 , at Heritage Baptist Church in Mansfield, Texas. Even though this is a conference geared towards pastors, we welcome all attendees who are interested in the subject at hand. These lectures will no doubt encourage and edify the pastor and layman alike. Our association has determined that the theme for our Pastors’ Conference from year to year will be to cover a chapter in the 2nd London Baptist Confession of Faith. Last year, we covered chapter 5 in the confession, "Of Divine Providence". This year, each of the lectures will address chapter 21, "O f Christian Liberty and Liberty of Conscience" . Our featured speakers will be Dr. James Renihan, Dr. J. Ryan Davidson, and Dr. Jason Montgomery . Dr. Renihan is the President and Professor of Historical Theology for International Reformed Baptist Seminary. After a ministry of church planting in central Massachusetts, Dr. Renihan and his family moved to Escondido, CA in 1998 to begin serving as Dean of the newly formed Institute of Reformed Baptist Studies. He led that work for 20 years, and when it became IRBS Theological Seminary in 2018, he was appointed the first president. Dr. Renihan has served as pastor in churches in Massachusetts, New York, and California. He is a graduate of Trinity Evangelical Divinity School (PhD), Seminary of the East (MDiv), Trinity Ministerial Academy, and Liberty Baptist College (BS). His academic work focused on the Second London Baptist Confession and the broader Puritan theological context from which it arose. Dr. Renihan is the author of numerous books including, For the Vindication of the Truth: Baptist Symbolics Volume 1 (The Founders Press), Faith and Life for Baptists: The Documents of the London Particular Baptist Assemblies, 1689-1694 and To the Judicious & Impartial Reader: Baptist Symbolics Volume 2 (The Founders Press). Dr. Davidson has been serving as the pastor of Grace Baptist Chapel (Hampton, VA) since August of 2008. He has been married to his wife Christie for nearly two decades, and they have four children. Dr. Davidson is a graduate of Samford University (BA), The College of William & Mary (MEd) in Counseling, and Southern Seminary (ThM) in Louisville, KY, and received his PhD in Early Church History/Pastoral Theology from The Free University of Amsterdam, Netherlands. He has contributed to various academic journals and has had the opportunity to teach pastoral theology around the world. He is the author of Green Pastures: A Primer on the Ordinary Means of Grace , Thinking through Anxiety: A Brief Christian Look and Abortion, and Brill Encyclopedia of Early Christianity Online. Dr. Montgomery is one of the pastors at Christ Covenant Church Reformed Baptist (Fort Worth, TX). He has served as pastor for Faith Community Baptist Church (now CCRBC) in Fort Worth since 1998 and has been married to his wife, Janice, since 1990. They have been blessed with seven children. Dr. Montgomery completed his graduate work at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, TX, receiving his Master of Divinity in 1997. Later, in 2018, he received his PhD in Historical Theology/ Church History with a focus in Baptist studies, focusing his dissertation on eighteenth-century Particular Baptist pastor Benjamin Beddome. Mansfield Central Library are delighted to be hosting a series of dementia friendly screenings of classic films and musicals.  On Moonlight Bay During World War I, a teenage girl begins a romance with a college student, but his unconventional attitudes cause friction with her father. These relaxed screenings are particularly suitable for people living with dementia and memory challenges, their family and friends but anyone is welcome. Please feel free to talk, sing and move during the screening.   Doors will open 20 minutes before the screening and there will be a 20 minute interval. We will be sensitive to the audience when it comes to lighting and volume in the auditorium. A quiet room for anyone needing a brief break from the film will be available just outside the auditorium and toilets including an accessible toilet are also just outside the auditorium door. The auditorium is on the second floor of the building with good lift access.  The second row has accessible steps and there are 6 wheelchair spaces available.
