Hosted at the Frog and Bucket - Manchester’s longest running comedy club - Forever Funny guarantees a fun night out. Experience We'll meet at the house desk just before the start and head to the entrance hall at Manchester Art Gallery together. The art gallery is the perfect meeting spot where we’ll spot a few bees in the gallery. I'll explain the significance of the Manchester bee, Industrial Revolution and Cottonopolis. We'll also look at the gorgeous William De Morgan Victorian tiles and Pre-Raphaelite Art. Then we will walk to the Waterhouse Pub to pay homage to the architect Alfred Waterhouse (1830 ~1905) who designed the gothic style masterpiece that is Manchester Town Hall and the incredible bee mosaic floor. Walking around the outside of the Town Hall, as it is being refurbished until 2024, we will walk through Library Walk. Here we can see the cotton flower mosaic floor and spot some more worker bees. After this brief tour, the workshop will take place for you to make your bee mosaic. All the materials will be provided for you to make your bee. Come along to my workshop in Thorniley Studios for the perfect beginners course in traditional silversmithing and jewellery making techniques. We will explore some basic techniques including sawing, soldering and shaping/forming to create a simple sterling silver ring. The silver we will be using is 100% recycled and all materials are provided. By the end of the afternoon you will have your very own silver ring to take home, handmade by you. The workshop lasts about 4 hours and the design of the ring is a simple silver band with either a mirror polish or hammered textured finish (see photos below). If you are interested in making something more bespoke I offer private workshops. More information can be found here. Refund policy I do not offer refunds so please bear that in mind when purchasing tickets. Tickets can be transferred to an alternative date up to 14 days prior to the event. The new workshop date selected must be within a month of the original workshop date. Health and safety notice: This event is suitable for people aged 16 and over. Welcome to our annual Early Bird Albion, a great shoot to either dip your toes in the water or kick off your summer season in style! As usual our Albion (also known as a Long Windsor) consists of 3 dozen arrows at 80 yards, 3 dozen at 60 yards and 3 dozen at 50 yards. Of course if these distances aren't for you, the Albion family of rounds also allows these distances to be closer in the form of a Windsor, a Windsor 50, Windsor 40 or a Windsor 30. Details of these rounds can be found in the Archery GB Rules of Shooting - Table 3-1 on page 3-9 but generally the younger the archer, the closer the target. Awards are only available for those who shoot rounds appropriate to their age and category. VENUE - Assheton Bowmen, Tudor Lodge, Victoria Avenue East, Manchester M40 5SH What 3 Words: muddy.flood.begin Under 18's must be accompanied by a responsible adult. All participants must be able to produce a current Archery GB Mebership ID or Archery GB Affiliated Membership ID. SENIORS - £14(plus eventbrite booking fees). JUNIORS - £9 (plus eventbrite booking fees). THINGS TO NOTE! CLOSING DATE FOR ENTRIES - 6TH APRIL 2025 Refunds are not available. Archers may arrive at the venue from 8am. Assembly will be at 8:50am and sighters will begin at 9:00am. Breakfast muffins and lunch will be available on the day as well as coffee, tea, cakes and light refreshments throughout the day. No camping is permitted at the site. Refunds are not available. Disabled archers are asked to indicate their requirements on the entry form or contact the tournament organiser please specify if you will be using a chair or need to remain on the shooting line. Raffle will be held at the end of the shoot before awards ceremony. To comply with the GNAS Protection of Children and vulnerable adults policy those who wish to take photographs at this event are to register with the tournament organiser on the day. Whilst every reasonable effort will be made to prevent unauthorised photography, filming etc. taking place, the tournament organiser cannot be held responsible for any breach of this policy. The tournament is open to all archers, including juniors (u18). Assheton Bowmen will not be responsible for any damage or loss of equipment during the tournament. Neither Assheton Bowmen nor the Tournament Organiser is able to accept responsibility for the care of children. All junior competitors must be accompanied by a responsible adult for the duration of the tournament. Competitors must be members of Archery GB, and proof of membership will be required at registration. No alcohol is allowed on the field or at the venue. Smoking and vaping is not permitted on the field of competition or in any Assheton Bowmen building and may be done only on the entrance road well away from other athletes. Assheton Bowmen will not be responsible for damage to equipment. Personal belongings, vehicles and equipment are brought to the event at visitors own risk. GNAS dress regulations apply. Make A Silver Ring Workshop | Thorniley studios

Come along to my workshop in Thorniley Studios for the perfect beginners course in traditional silversmithing and jewellery making techniques. We will explore some basic techniques including sawing, soldering and shaping/forming to create a simple sterling silver ring. The silver we will be using is 100% recycled and all materials are provided. By the end of the afternoon you will have your very own silver ring to take home, handmade by you. The workshop lasts about 4 hours and the design of the ring is a simple silver band with either a mirror polish or hammered textured finish (see photos below). If you are interested in making something more bespoke I offer private workshops. More information can be found here. Refund policy I do not offer refunds so please bear that in mind when purchasing tickets. Tickets can be transferred to an alternative date up to 14 days prior to the event. The new workshop date selected must be within a month of the original workshop date. Health and safety notice: This event is suitable for people aged 16 and over. Please wear sensible footwear – no open-toed shoes/sandals. Hair must be tied back at all times. Do not come dressed in your best clothes as they may get a little mucky. If you wear glasses I'd advise you to bring them with you as we'll be doing quite intricate work.
