This fun and interactive session is perfect for young children eager to explore the world of colour, brushwork and self-expression. Courtney, an experienced artist, workshop leader and with a background in childcare, is DBS-checked and ready to guide the session. Children will learn various painting techniques, experiment with different painting tools and collaborate with eachother to create a masterpiece. Please Note: Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Siblings are welcome! However, all participating children will need their own ticket. Evening Art Class - Paint Whales in Watercolour Come join us for a relaxing evening of creativity at our in-person art class! In this class you'll learn how to use a variety of watercolour techniques and be guided through a step by step process on how to paint beautiful whales. You'll create an experiments page followed by a lovely final piece to take home! No prior experience needed, just bring your enthusiasm and we'll provide all the materials. The event will be held at Bison Beer | Bison Beach Bar @ Sea Lanes, a perfect setting to get inspired by the ocean vibes. Spaces are limited, so be sure to reserve your spot today. Hi, I'm Jenny, the artist behind @artea_jen. I teach art at secondary school and run adult watercolour classes. My background is Fine Art which I studdied in Southampton from 2012-2014 where I found my passion for the watercolour medium! The thing I love most is how versatile it can be and the beautiful effects you can create with the water, colours, paper and brushes! Teaching continues to be a fun and rewarding experience, and I always look forward to every class I teach. My events are designed for all levels, particularly those new to watercolour who are looking to learn something new. If you've dabled in paints before then you'll hopefully pick up some new tricks and tips. Brighton Girls MTB Network: Social Ride at Stanmer Park! Calling all mountain biking girls, trans and non-binary riders aged 12-17 in Brighton & Hove (and those who want to get into it!) Brighton & Hove Mountain Bike Network is a free, welcoming and supportive group for riders aged 12-17 to ride together, practice skills together, and connect with each other. Join us at 10am, Sunday 23rd February at Falmer Sports Complex for a social ride around the trails in Stanmer Park. We'll ride at the pace of the slowest rider and never leave anyone behind, giving tips along the way to help improve your confidence and skills on the bike. This ride is pary of our 2025 Spring calendar. Come and ride with us to learn new routes, build your skills, connect with other young female riders and have lots of fun in the woods. This season we also have some fun bike-related indoor events around the community. Whether you're completely new to mountain biking or already a seasoned rider, we'd love to have you join us! These courses will be planned and led by our wonderful team of Rehearsal Director Fred Despierre & Rehearsal Assistant Yeji Kim. They will be joined and our extraordinary company dancers. Hearing and learning about the work from a range of different company members gives our participants a variety of insights and access points into exploring the work from many perspectives. We have learned, through extensive feedback, that our participants really value this approach. These 4-day courses will share repertoire from Hofesh’s brand-new creation Theatre of Dreams. We are so excited to share this new work with the world, after a busy and intensive autumn touring period, where we took the piece to Europe. Our busy touring schedule continues in 2025 – more European dates and a trip to Asia are upcoming, but not before we have shared this mesmerizing new work with you! This is the way we work on tour, and in rehearsal periods. After a short break we will share repertoire – a different extract from Theatre of Dreams each day.  Please note: both courses will cover the same content. These courses are open to dancers, teachers and dance students – anyone looking to enrich and deepen their practice or training, and of course anyone interested in getting to know more about our work. You must be 18 years of age minimum, and we warmly welcome all ages upwards of that.
