Learn about Intimacy Coordinating from Georgia Johnson, the Intimacy Coordinator for Emily in Paris, Karen Pirie & Silent Witness! What the workshop will cover: Reflecting progressive changes in film, television and theatre, the use of Intimacy Coordinators has become an industry norm. Yet, there remains a lack of awareness of what Intimacy Coordinators do and how they enrich working environments and improve the quality of the work. This workshop aims to introduce the basic principles and practices utilised by ICs and demonstrates how their presence can elevate storytelling by fostering trust and collaboration. Workshop participants will learn how integrating ICs into their workflow can streamline production, reduce risk, and uphold industry standards, all while supporting the creative vision. Ideal for those wanting to create impactful, respectful, and empowered sets. Who you'll be working with: Georgia Johnson is an Intimacy Coordinator (Film & TV) & Intimacy Director (stage) based in the UK. Georgia trained at The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. Her education encompasses the research, theory, and practice of intimacy coordination i.e., body-centred and consent-based practices, choreography techniques, documentation, and modesty garments. Georgia's work is informed by her own actor training and work and prior professional experience in the mental health field. Her approach is trauma-informed, person-centric and carefully considered, focusing on the well-being and comfort of performers. Georgia approaches the work with curiosity, sensitivity and creativity; her problem-solving attitude enabling her to build strong connections with performers and HOD's. Georgia is inspired by experimental and independent stories that challenge the status quo. She's interested in the development of intimacy and how it relates to the transpersonal nature of consciousness. Creative Conversations: Greg Thomas | University Chapel

Greg Thomas is a poet, artist, and writer based in Glasgow, with a particular interest in making and writing about concrete and visual poetries. He wrote the first book on concrete poetry in Britain and has several published collections of poetry including: SPIRES/SPINES. PAPERVIEW, 2024. A collection of poems and poem-objects from 2009-13, including works on found wood, stone, and glass, letter-transfer poems, acetone transfers, lino-tile poems, and felt-tip pen poems. THRESHHOLDS. TIMGLASET, 2023. A new collection of short and visually oriented poems, a sequel of sorts to particulates. Including the sequence the skin of the sky: poems in the Faroe Islands. In Greg Thomas’s exquisite new collection, meaning emerges at the threshold of sound and sense, breath and form, play and sincerity. Hanna Tuulikki. CANDLE POEMS. POEM ATLAS, 2023. My first full collection of poem-objects. Candles and wax sculptures in bees' and soya wax with alkyd and vegetable colouring and lettering in acrylic paint pen. There’s imagination and a subtle wit everywhere — in the making of the objects and in all the ways the book finds of showing them in action. Precarious, funny and moving, Candle Poems is a perfect small monument, to candles, to the bees and to us. Peter Manson. PARTICULATES. TIMGLASET, 2022. A collection of short poems and visually oriented poems mostly from 2021-22, including the sequence on book on drone on barra. written on Barra in September 2021. This quivering book! Each poem feels like a syntactic mirage: walking into a room and seeing dust particles in the light....poetry at its unwilting and unprogrammatic best. Colin Herd. Thomas's poetry often touches on themes of environmental crisis and the politics of climate change, as well as ways of communicating with and being in the natural world. He is also a freelance arts journalist, with bylines in The Guardian, Art Monthly, Scottish Art News, and other titles. Information Source: Creative Writing Admin Team | eventbrite
