Our final Drams with the Exec tasting of the season!
We will be celebrating this night at the Bothy where we will enjoy, the always available, exclusive A.S.S. dram as well as two drams picked exclusively for you by our vice president, Mr. Nick Polard!
This is also a “Heel Event” where you are encouraged to bring the heel of any particularly lovely bottle that you want to share. (A heel typically has 4 to 6 ounces left in it.)
This event has the added bonus of supporting the only real whisky bar in the city. And to top it all off, if you don’t already know, you and all our Alberta, Scotch Society members will get 15% off your food bill as well.
I would love to see you all there but we have to cap this event at 25 people because of space restrictions.

15 minute blind levels
75 minutes (5 levels) where unlimited rebuys will be permitted, until a 15 minute break.
SURRENDER permitted of a short stack at the break, to allow for a rebuy of a fresh, full stack
8:15-8:30 - BREAK and rebuys / late registrations close.
Re-buys will cost $75 for a stack of chips (= to original starting stack) - with the full $75 going to the prize pool
Prize pool will be split amongst the top 10% of the field (e.g. 7 players if we have 70 entered)
Maxwell Devonshire Realty and Danny Tchir Real Estate will be the organizers and managing promoters of the event.

The Year of the Jubilee 2025: Pilgrims of Hope
The Holy Father has announced that 2025 will be a Jubilee Year, something which happens every 25 years. The theme for Jubilee 2025 is “Pilgrims of Hope,” and it will be a year of hope for a world suffering the impacts of war, the ongoing effects of the pandemic, and the climate crisis. In the letter that Pope Francis wrote in preparation for the Jubilee Year of 2025, he said that “The four Constitutions of the Second Vatican Ecumenical Council, together with the Magisterium of these recent decades, will continue to provide direction and guidance to God’s holy people, so that it can press forward in its mission of bringing the joyful proclamation of the Gospel to everyone.”

will lead a 45-minute performance filled with music, storytelling, and audience participation. You will be invited to sing and dance along to tunes you know AND some unreleased surprises.
Then, we’ll invite everyone to join in 15 minutes of live drumming and shakers with the band. Followed by a meet and greet with Garth and his team to wrap up the evening. As per the students' request, this is an excellent opportunity to get a Garth Prince autograph or a copy of the children's book.
