Rama began her dance journey at the age of 14, initially exploring modern jazz and hip-hop. Upon moving to Montreal in 2012, she delved deeper into Dancehall and African street dance styles, ultimately deciding to specialize in the African street dance Kuduro/Afrohouse from Angola. This immersion allowed her to seamlessly blend her African roots with her passion for dance, shaping a unique artistic identity. Through various training, competitions, and opportunities, Rama has meticulously refined her talent. Since 2017, she has been sharing her passion and expertise as a dance teacher for children and adults of all levels. As a choreographer and artistic director, she has staged numerous projects, contracts, and performances. Rama has had the honor of performing as an opening act for renowned artists such as Burna Boy, Wizkid, Dadju, Tayc, and Rema. In parallel, she has been working with Uplift514 studio, and served as an administrator for L'OBNL MDS. Patricia holds an honours diploma in Illustration from Seneca Polytechnic, has a background in Interior Design, as well as Layout for Animation. Currently a freelance book illustrator with FriesenPress, she’s excited to share her expertise in a hands-on, engaging workshop experience for aspiring artists of all levels.
